BLU Studio View XL New Smartphone!

BLU got a new phone which is being called Studio View XL. BLU is a brand that is releasing many phones under it’s name. Let’s go over the specs.

Main specs: 5.7 inch Display, 720×1440 pixels screen, IPS LCD type, Android 7.0 Nougat, Mediatek MT6580 Chipset, Quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Cortex-A7 cores, microSD card support up to 64GB, 16GB Internal storage, 1GB of RAM, 13.0MP main camera, 5MP front facing camera and 3000mAh battery!

This is an entry Android smartphone. It even cost less than Xiaomi Redmi 5. It doesn’t come with a home button but just a front screen with 3 buttons built into the display. In terms of weight it’s fairly heavy with 174 grams but it makes sense since the large display. Pretty thick too with 9.3mm thickness.

You don’t get any 60fps 1080p recording or 4K resolution. The Bluetooth version is also just 4.0 not even 4.1 or 4.2. And microUSB 2.0 is being used as USB connector.

But it’s nice that it packs a fingerprint sensor. Something that most people is using 2018. Some advanced smartphone users have even started to use face unlock. I use that feature on my Galaxy S8 and works 90% of the time! Which is very impressive how technology is improving. I can even use it to login to websites.

The colours it comes in are Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Silver! Another great thing about the battery is that it’s a removable variant. Something that not even Samsung likes to put in their phones. Now they are moving more to back covers which you cannot remove. Probably they do it to make more money.

The battery will last for up to 625 hours in 3G standby and up to 16 hours talk time with 3G. Sadly this phone doesn’t seem to feature 4G which is a downside for most people.

I did a quick comparison a couple of months ago where I compared a Nokia 3310 vs. brand new high-end Samsung phone. It was quite fun to do!

Lenovo Moto Z New Smartphone!

Lenovo has a new smartphone which is being called Moto Z. This phone has a unique design on the rear camera lens. Let’s dive into the features and specs.

Main stuff: 5.5 inch Display, AMOLED touch screen, 2560×1440 pixels, 535 pixels per inch, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Snapdragon 820 Chipset, Quad-core processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 64GB Internal storage, 4GB of RAM, TF card support up to 2TB, Black colour and 4G LTE!

Very impressive the large MicroSD card you could use in this Moto Z! This is also a Dual SIM Dual Standby smartphone! In terms of listening to audio you have to use the Type-C port. You also get the Moto Mods connector.

In terms of rear camera you have a 13.0MP sensor with F.1.8 aperture and 1.12um pixel size! Optical image stabilize on board of course. But there is a ton of other specs as well because the camera is one of the main things: Shutter lag, colour correlated, Professional mode, Quick capture, Best shot, Scan barcode, QR codes, 8X digital zoom, burst mode, night mode, panorama, video stabilize, tap to focus, 1080p video at 60fps, 4K at 30 fps and slow motion!

Wow that was a lot you could do with rear camera! The front selfie is a bit lower in megapixel. It comes with a 5MP sensor and F2.2 aperture, wide-angle lens, 1.4um pixel size, low light and Beauty software!

In terms of security we see the mobile comes with a fingerprint sensor. You can do mobile payments with the NFC technology. Something that is being used at more places.

You can’t remove the battery on Moto Z and it has just 2600mAh. Which sounds a bit low for a 2018 phone. Most phones tend to have at least 3000mAh. 136 grams in weight and just 5.19mm thickness. Yes I had to read that twice. It may be wrong. Because it sounds too slim!

I usually don’t buy so many Motorola devices because I find them pretty boring. But I did buy the Motorola Moto G5 a few months ago and compared it to Samsung’s latest Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 smartphone!

Meizu M6s New Smartphone!

Meizu M6s is a new mobile that packs a single lens on the rear side. What else do you get in this device? Let’s have a closer investigation.

Main specs: 5.7 inch Display, 1440×720 pixels, 282 ppi, Multi touch support, Flyme 6 OS which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat, Exynos 7872 Chipset, Hexa-core processor, 14nm FinFET technology, ARM Cortex A73 clocked at 2.0GHz two of those and then 4 Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz, Mali-G71 GPU, 3GB of LPDDR3 Memory, 32GB Internal storage and TF card support up to 128GB!

Meizu M6s also packs insanely fast 4G LTE data speeds. You get Dual SIM Card Dual Standby! In colours you get Gold, Silver, Blue and Black. The building materials they used to create this phone is Metal and Plastic. Which is great because then you get the best from both sides. Plastic is more durable and metal gives some classy feel.

In the camera section we first get an 8.0MP sensor on front with specs: F2.0 aperture, 4-element lens, ArSoft Intelligent Beauty Algorithm and Face AE. The rear camera comes with 16.0MP lens and: F2.0 aperture, 5-element lens, Continuous shooting, Panorama, PDAF , Dual-color temperature and Flash!

I like how the front facing camera on Meizu M6s has extremely good aperture! On the right side you will find a super fast fingerprint ID sensor using mTouch. It can recognize a finger in 360 degree angle and supports up to 5 fingerprints. It’s nice how they put it on the right side. I really enjoyed that location when Sony Xperia X Compact phone had the same layout.

The battery on inside gives you 3000mAh in power. The charging is still the old Micro USB 2.0 which is a bit sad. We want to have Type C tech in 2018. The phone comes with 8mm thickness and low 160 grams in weight.

Here is the other great phone with a side fingerprint scanner. The Sony Xperia X Compact! It’s a compact phone but with high-end specs.

Huawei G9 Plus New Smartphone!

Huawei G9 Plus is a new cool smartphone from the popular chinese phone brand Huawei. This phone cost a little bit more than Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus.

Main specs: 5.5 inch Display, 1920×1080 pixels screen, 401 pixels per inch, EMUI 4.1 + Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 Chipset, Octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, Adreno 506 GPU, 32GB Internal storage, 3GB of RAM, External Micro SD card support up to 128GB and 4G LTE connectivity!

Pretty basic specs of what you would expect from a phone around this price range. In terms of materials G9 Plus is using Plastic and Metal body. Two colour variants exist Gold and Silver.

The battery it comes packed with has 3340mAh! Which is large for a low cost Android device. We are starting to see most new phones coming out with at least 3000mAh battery these days. In audio you get 3.5mm audio jack to use wired cable!

The front camera is an 8.0MP variant which is pretty high resolution for a front camera. It features F.2.0 aperture. The main camera also packs same F2.0 but has 16MP instead. Other specs incude: CMOS, Flash light, PDAF, OIS and video recording at 4K with 30fps!

On the back side of the phone you can find a fingerprint sensor mounted. Was very impressed when I saw that this phone is only 7.3mm in thickness. The weight is 160 grams which is pretty low and the USB connector is using brand new USB Type-C cable.

Huawei G9 Plus doesn’t come with an all-screen display on front side but it packs some bezel top and bottom side. But what is cool is that you get 2.5D arc screen. I like the square design that you can see on the back side. Usually fingerprint sensor is rounded but in this phone Huawei tried something new and unique! Very impressive!

Earlier this year I unboxed the Huawei Mate 9 which became one of my favourite phones of all time! I even like it more than Samsung Galaxy S8 because it comes with aluminium metal back instead of glass back as S8 have. Also S8 has a bad fingerprint sensor that usually doesn’t work at the first try.

All My Samsung Phones! A Video I did a Few Years Back!

In this video I will show you all of my phones that I had at that time that was only from Samsung brand! I want to thank everyone for the support over the years! We are only getting started!

Samsung is one of the main brand I have been buying the last couple of years. Mainly because they are the top company when it comes to sales in Android phone division. Other companies have tried to outcompete them like Sony, HTC and LG but they have all failed. Maybe they have all failed because Samsung is involved in so many niches so they can afford to spend more money on marketing and advertising.

The other phone company that people talk a lot about is Apple. Sadly Apple the last couple of years have started to become more boring and stagnant. Nothing exciting is happening and the jailbreak excitement that existed back in 2009 has slowed down. That community made the iPhone more exciting by all the cool tweaks you could get! But Apple didn’t like that.

In this video I will show you many Samsung phones. Which one is your favourite? Do you want me to do an updated video 2018 on all my Samsung phones? Or perhaps all my Apple phones? Please let me know in the comment section. I would love to hear your opinion! Have an awesome day.
