Samsung Galaxy S9 leak shows that we may only see one single rear camera. This means that it doesn’t seem like Samsung want to buy into the hype of dual rear cameras. It’s been the biggest trend of 2017. People been wanting dual cameras on both front and back. But I think this fad will go away. Also so does Samsung. On these schematic leaks we can see a fingerprint reader below the camera.
The sad part about next year then is that it will just be a boring tiny upgrade year. No new cool design when it comes to Samsung. Maybe we need to start looking at Nokia again. The Nokia brand seems to be doing a nice comeback. Apple and Samsung started to out-compete Nokia in 2010 and 2011 with Android and iOS phones. But now they are coming back strong.
Another nice thing we can see on these renders is how Samsung still will give you 3.5mm jack for wired audio listen. This is a feature Apple has removed in the latest iPhone X. And will probably remove in more phones like iPhone 9 in 2018. Apple want us to buy more expensive 200 euro wireless headphones or buy an adapter just to listen to Audio.
Some people prefer that Samsung goes back to the flat Galaxy S6 front or S7 front. The S8 has a slight curve on front that might not suit all. Many prefer when Samsung had a real edge variant like S6 Edge and a real stock variant with no Edge as S6. Me personally I prefer the edge on S8. Gives it some style but you don’t think about it too much.
I really hope the Galaxy S9 has a massive battery of at least 4,500mAh. That would be very refreshing. Gives us something new and cool Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy S9 is a new phone that we are expecting to see in 2018. We now have a concept render of how that phone may look like.
The first thing that you can see on these renders is how it features a fingerprint scanner that is now located below the rear camera. This is a better location than what we saw on Galaxy S8. On S8 the fingerprint reader is located on the side of the camera. Which makes it more complicated to reach and sometimes you hit the camera instead. Also the S8 sensor many times cant detect your finger. I never have this problem with Huawei Mate 9.
You see various colours in these renders as Black, Silver, Gray, Blue and Gold edition. In terms of specs I have talked in the past that S9 will probably feature the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset with new Adreno 630 GPU, latest Bluetooth 5.0 with better wireless audio codecs and Quick Charge 4+.
Other specs we probably will see is a 5.8″ Super AMOLED vibrant screen. I hope we see a 8GB RAM model of the S9. And we may see stock storage inside S9 to be 128GB. Which is a step up from 64GB. But it wouldn’t be too strange, we already see low end Android smartphones now coming out with 64GB of storage.
It looks like S9 will not have a major redesign. That it mostly will just tweak the fingerprint scanner location. So a bit like Apple when they kept same design from iPhone 6 to iPhone 8. Not any major redesigns on most phones these days. It seems like they are working more on trying to improve the software these days. But we are reaching a stage where most phones have become so good that you don’t need to upgrade every year.
UHANS i8 is a cool new phone with a bezel-less display. The design reminds me about Samsung Galaxy S8!
Main specs: MTK6750T Chipset, Octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 5.7″ Display, SHARP HD+ type screen, 1440×720 pixels screen with incell Touch Panel, Android 7.0 Nougat, Mali T860 MP2 GPU clocked at 650MHz, 4GB of RAM, 64GB Internal storage and MicroSD 3.0 up to 128GB!
The battery is 3500mAh in UHANS i8. A little bit higher than what you get inside Samsung Galaxy Note 8. It’s using Type-C for charging. The front camera is 8.0MP variant with Bokeh effect and the back camera is 16.0MP AF + 3MP FF! You also get a Dual Rear Flash LED Light!
You use the Type C port for earphone support with an adapter. You also get a rear fingerprint sensor with a rounded design. I like how the rear camera look glossy and sleek.
The display on UHANS i8 supports 10-finger multi-touch. Great for gaming, texting and editing. Another cool feature it has is Face ID. Just as with Galaxy S8 you can unlock this smartphone with your face. It would be nice if this phone came with an S6 Edge or S7 Edge screen on sides.
Another cool thing is you can use two apps at the same time and multi task as the phone was a full Windows 10 PC! This is also a feature that Galaxy S8 has! On the bottom of the display you get 3 on-screen keys.
This is also a phone that support fast data over 4G LTE! The colour it comes in is a black edition. In terms of weight in grams it’s pretty heavy massive 205g. Really have no idea why because the battery is pretty standard size. In thickness this phone is 8.4mm.
The package this phone comes with also has a 3.5mm headphone adapter and a phone cover!
We have a new Samsung Galaxy S9 concept here made by DBS Designing. This concept features a bezel-less all-screen display.
It will probably run on the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset. This will feature an improved GPU it’s called Adreno 630 and Bluetooth 5.0 support with new codecs. Latest Quick Charge 4+ will be 30% more efficient and 15% faster. Also comes with X20 LTE support that comes with speeds of 1.2Gbps Download and 150Mbps Upload.
It’s imagined with an Infinity Display, Android 8.1 Oreo. But we will probably have Android 9.0 once Samsung Galaxy S9 launch! What’s cool also is how it’s imagined with an under display fingerprint scanner. Something we haven’t seen so far. In Galaxy S8 Samsung still have issues with an unstable fingerprint scanner that many times misses to detect your finger. It’s also located at a poor location. This with a under display scanner would be way better. Because it can work everywhere on the display. QHD+ this concept features in display with 18:9 aspect ratio perfect for movie watching.
In terms of cameras it comes with Dual 13MP Front facing cameras. Probably wide angle perfect for group selfies. The rear is Dual 18MP cameras. We haven’t seen 18MP that much in the past so that would be an interesting megapixel. In ram it has 6GB. Something some devices have even today. 128GB Internal memory which is something that may be standard in high-end phones 2018.
In battery it comes with 3600mAh. Which is better than Galaxy Note 8’s battery. But it’s not massive I would love to see at least 4500mAh! We have seen DOOGEE release some cheap phones with 5000mAh batteries. So if they can then Samsung can too. This phone comes with USB Type-C. Do you like this concept or do you feel that it’s missing some major feature? I think overall it’s very well done.
Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ new Samsung smartphones we will see in 2018 we are rumored to get a 3MP iris scanner to more easily be able to scan your eyes.
Right now I am sometimes using the 2MP iris scanner on my Galaxy S8 and it’s true that it doesn’t always work so good. Sometimes it really takes a long time for it to detect your iris. And many times it barely even works. The S8+, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 all had a 2MP iris scanner. With this new phone they would bump it up to 3MP which is 50% more detail it can get and it will make it work so much better and faster! This will mostly be great for people that wear eyeglasses, moving their eyeballs, dark environment or too light environment.
Samsung want this process to unlock your phone in less than 1 second. As we know right now the Samsung fingerprint scanner can unlock phone in 0.1s. But I bet Samsung is working hard at improving the speed even more. Face scanners is getting more popular. Samsung first have an option to unlock phone with Iris another is that it scans for your Face. Unlock with face seems to be faster. But I bet iris scanner is more safer.
Apple is moving towards unlock phones with face too with their latest iPhone X. it seems like unlock with face will be the large thing in 2018. And that we will more move away from unlock phones with fingerprint or PIN code. Eventually we will probably have our phone unlocked the moment our body touch the device. It’s going to be interesting what other cool things that we may see in phones 2018. 2017 was the year we saw many dual camera phones and all-screen display smartphones.
