Ever wanted a phone that looks like a 2017 Nokia 3310? You can now buy that. It’s called the OEINA XP3310 phone! Do remember that I am talking here about the brand new Nokia design for 2017 3310. The original Nokia 3310 got released year 2000.
Specs and functions on this phone are very basic because it is a feature phone so don’t expect too much. There will not be a cool iOS 11 App Store or Android Google Play store on this device! No hardcore gaming. It comes with quad band. It’s an unlocked phone.
Specs on OEINA XP3310: The display is 2.4 inch in size, Bluetooth version 2.0, Dual cameras, 0.08MP Front camera, 0.08MP Rear camera, Sound recorder, FM, MP3, Alarm, Standard SIM card size, 32MB RAM, 32MB Internal storage, TF card support up to 16GB and 1000mAh battery inside.
The first thing you would want to do with this device is to buy a TF card and expand memory. Especially if you want to be able to use the MP3 function. The 32MB internal won’t last very long.
And I also suspect that you can’t play any games on this phone. On new 3310 there is a limited amount of games available like Snake for example. This phone comes with multi-language support. And the total weight is 100 grams. Which I find kinda high for this tiny phone. But I suspect it’s because the large battery packed inside.
Very cool colours here on OEINA XP3310. Also in terms of standard durability I still would buy an original Nokia 3310 over this. The original has been proven to be super durable for over 17 years! With a new phone like this you never know. There is also another clone from vkworld that is out I might write about that one as well. Do you like this phone or do you think it’s a bad copycat? I wished they made the new 3310 slimmer than the original.
You can now buy Nokia’s brand new high-end smartphone from Europe. This was a phone that just got announced last month in August. It’s the most high end Nokia phone for this year so far. Nokia 8 is available here at Amazon Germany!
Some of the specs include 5.3″ IPS LCD 1440×2560 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, it’s also has an Always-on display. Same feature that we seen on Samsung devices. The body is dust and splash resistant with IP54 certification. It weights 160g. The operating system is not Android 8.0 Oreo but earlier Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
The chipset in Nokia 8 is qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835, an Octa-core CPU with 4×2.5 GHz Kryo and 4×1.8GHz Kryo. The GPU is Adreno 540. This is standard specs for a high end phone 2017. The internal storage is 64GB + 4GB of RAM. It also has a microSD card slot available up to 256GB support.
The rear camera is Dual 13 MP f/2.0. It can record 2160p video at 30fps. The front facing camera is also 13MP f/2.0. It also features latest Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type-C 1.0. The battery is 3,090mAh. Which is almost as much mAh as Galaxy Note 8 has.
My favourite thing with this new HMD Global Nokia phone is the low price! It’s way better pricing than what both the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 8 will cost.
It will be the perfect choice for someone who wants a high end premium phone with good brand but not pay a fortune. Good job HMD. The 4 colours it’s available in are tempered blue, polished blue, steel and polished copper. Which is your favourite?
I think I will try to get this device when I can. I bought the Nokia 3 and really enjoyed the premium quality that low cost device had. So I expect this Nokia 8 will feel even better! There are also some other new Nokia phones you might wanna check out.
So today I want to make a poll to see which phone you are looking forward to the most late 2017.
So we have four different new high end phones that will soon be released. Lets start by talking about the Apple iPhone 8. It’s expected to come with a 5.8″ OLED Display, Speedier A11 processor, Glass body, Edge-to-edge Display, Facial Recognition that probably will replace Touch ID.
So no fingerprint sensor on iPhone 8 seems like. Or home button. Because of the Edge-to-edge display. And wireless charging functionality. Something Android has been having for years.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be like a Galaxy S8+ but with a dual-led camera and an S-Pen. And a smaller battery! It will have either Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835. Both the iPhone 8 and Note 8 is suspecting to feature glass back. Which is bad for protection it can break easier than other materials. So it will probably be a good idea to wear a case with these phones. iPhone 8 will be running on Apple’s latest iOS 11 which currently is in beta. New Note 8 will run with Samsung Experience 8.1 and Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
The LG V30 is a new LG phone expected to be unveiled on August 30th a day before IFA 2017 Europe’s largest tech show opens up in Berlin on September 1.
This phone is expected to have 6″ QHD+ OLED Display, rounded corners, Snapdragon 835 (Same processor as Galaxy S8 and OnePlus 5 has), 3200mAh battery, some new “floating bar” (Quick access to shortcuts and notifications), dual-rear cameras for high-performance image capture. It will also feature HDR 10 and Google Daydream support. IP68 certification.
LG G6 was a phone I really enjoyed from LG and I bet this V30 phone will be even more awesome. Looks like they put a great deal of effort into an improved camera. Hopefully the phone won’t come with a glass back I can’t stand that material on a phone. But it probably will have a glass back.
Another rumored device to come soon is the Sony Xperia XZ1. We have some leaked photos already where you can see a device running Android 8. Sony is expected to unveil three new devices on IFA 2017. Sony Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact and X1. And based on the pictures we have seen then it looks like XZ1 may be Sony’s first device to have a fingerprint sensor on the back side. Just as other phone companies is doing. Sony usually only did this on the side button.
Sony still seems like they wanna go with their thick bezels trend with no Edge-to-edge style screen. Most other phone companies are starting to slim down their edges to only have a big display on the front. Not Sony. On the other hand it was a long time ago Sony used a home button on the front side. Something we now see other phone companies is starting to do, remove the home button. Only on-screen keys.
If I’m going to have to pick my favorite between all these four I will easily go for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. That is the one phone that stands out and has something the other phones don’t. A stylus to quickly be able to be creative and take notes. And draw things in a creative way. Apple is falling behind I think since 2013 in creativity. They don’t seem to have the same spark as they had with Steve Jobs.
For example these days other companies copy Apple’s design before they even release their product. This year both Essential PH-1 and Sharp Aquos S2 has done the iPhone 8 design and released their phone’s before Apple even announced their iPhone 8!
So there is little things that are special with Apple these days. Now you can get a Android phone with good specs and latest iPhone look for probably around 200 euro. It doesn’t make that much sense these days to pay 800 euro for a flagship device. But people will still do it. The new iPhone 8 also has this horrible traffic light design on it’s camera which I really don’t like
Now this just show’s that Apple need to find something new original thing to do because now people truly are catching up to them. Also many of these Android phones I mentioned here is fully high quality phones. That can do just as much as an iPhone but with a lower price tag.
Another phone that I didn’t mention in this poll but would be worthy to mention is the new Nokia 8 which is expected to be announced soon. So the Nokia brand has made a comeback with HMD. I bought their new Nokia 3 which is their more low end device and I was impressed with it’s quality. For being so cheap it still performs well. Can play high-end games even. One thing that’s a bit boring is how these new Nokia branded phones is coming with a almost full stock Android look. Which I find a bit uncreative for a comeback. They should work on creating their own user experience interface.
The new high-end Nokia 8 is expected to have Snapdragon 835, 4GB of ram, QHD Display, and maybe a 5.25″ screen size. 64GB built-in storage and 51GB available to the user. There is also a 12MP Zeiss optics camera which can shoot 4K video. As I have understood the front facing camera is also 12MP! Nokia 8 will probably be a bit cheaper than the other brands. A more OnePlus 5 pricing maybe around 500-600 euro. The other high end phones probably more at 700-900 euro. Nokia 8 is expected to be announced in London on August 16. We already have a mid-range Nokia phone called Nokia 6.
I expected something more exciting to be revealed with a new iPhone especially now when it’s completely 10year since the first but looks like they will disappoint many with their traffic light iPhone.
