Lenovo K320T New Smartphone!

Lenovo has a new cool low end smartphone being called K320T. It comes with fingerprint sensor at rear side and even a dual rear camera at the top back corner.

Main specs: 5.7 inch Display, IPS screen type, 1440×720 pixels screen, Android 7.0 Nougat, SC9850K Chipset, Quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 16GB Internal storage, 2GB of RAM, TF card support up to 128GB, Dual SIM Card Dual Standby, Plastic shell, Black colour and 4G connectivity!

One downside you quickly can see with K320T is only 2GB of RAM. Many phones at this price range comes with 3 or 4GB of RAM. But Lenovo is a premium brand so they are charging a bit extra.

In terms of camera first you get a 8.0MP front camera with F2.2 aperture. On the back side you find 8.0MP + 2.0MP lens with F2.0 and F2.2. Other features include auto focus, LED flash and video recording with 720p at 30 frames per second.

The battery they pack on inside has 3000mAh! It’s a pretty thin phone with only 8.5mm thickness and low 153 grams weight.

This device will probably not be that great for gaming. But for web browsing it will be awesome because of the large display. And for taking pictures I’m sure it will deliver great results. 4G phones mean fast data speeds. So apps will be downloaded fast! In a few years we will see 5G be rolled out. It will be mega fast…

I like the curved back design K320T comes with. So it will feel great in hand. And this is a good phone for someone that miss plastic. These days most phones are going over to metal. But plastic is still awesome and something many people want to have on their phone! Like the Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4. They all felt great in hand.

CUBOT X18 Plus New Smartphone!

CUBOT X18 Plus is a nice upgrade from the standard X18 that I talked about a few months ago. This one comes with improved specs!

Main features: 5.99 inch Display, 2160×1080 pixels screen, MTK6750T Chipset, 1.5GHz processor which is Octa-core, Android 8.0 Oreo, 4GB of RAM, 64GB Internal storage, 8.0MP front camera, 0.3MP + 16.0MP dual rear camera and Dual SIM Card Dual Standby!

Another good thing about CUBOT X18 Plus is how it comes with 4G support! The battery has 4000mAh! Which is very impressive. More than what Apple and Samsung gives you. But you cannot remove it which is a bit sad.

I like how there is a distance between the fingerprint scanner and the camera on the rear side. They learned from the mistake that Samsung did! On the back side you can see the phone is rounded for a nicer grip.

It comes with standard features that can be good when you are exploring the world like GPS and A-GPS. The SIM card size is Nano. SIM cards have truly gotten smaller over the years!

A good thing with CUBOT X18 Plus is how it packs 3.5mm audio jack. Something that is becoming rare that a phone has in 2018. I hope the dual rear camera craze goes away in a few years. I really don’t see why it would create that much better phones.

Mainly probably just a gimmick. Many phones these days jump on the latest trends but in a few years people get bored of it. I think the phone companies should look at what their users want instead. Apple for example should open up iOS and let the open source community explore the OS more so they can create Cydia tweaks. People loved iOS when they could do that! That was back in 2009. Since then Apple has become more boring and closed their OS more.

BLU R2 New Smartphone!

BLU R2 is a new phone that looks very cool in design. It has a fingerprint located at the rear side. Right below the camera. Reminds me a bit about the Huawei Mate 9 smartphone design. On the front you can see the BLU logo below the display.

Main specs: 5.2 inch Display, IPS LCD type, 720×1280 pixels screen, Android 7.0 Nougat, Mediatek MT6580 Chipset, Quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, Mali-400 GPU, 8GB Internal storage, 1GB of RAM and microSD card expand up to 64GB!

Two downsides I can see here with BLU R2 is that it looks like the GPU is not the MP2 variant of Mali 400. Also that it only comes with 1GB of RAM so this phone will probably not be that good for heavy games.

In terms of cameras on primary side the rear area you get an 8MP sensor with Dual LED and dual tone flash. You can record video with 1080p at 30 frames per second. The secondary camera has an 8MP lens and that also comes with dual LED and dual tone flash.

With music you can use a wired cable because it supports 3.5mm audio jack. The battery has massive 3000mAh inside. Which is pretty impressive for the low price this phone cost. It can last up to 725 hours over 2G and 625 hours over 3G in the standby section. When we talk about talk time you get up to 26 hours over 2G and 16 hours over 3G.

The colours BLU R2 exist in are Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Silver. It’s a pretty thick phone 9.6mm that is almost 1cm thickness. The weight is pretty standard with 156 grams. You can insert Dual SIM perfect for people that travel.

This company get mixed reviews on their phones. Some love some dislike. This phone got announced around 6 months ago.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 mini Smartphone!

I like to go back sometimes in time to have a look at interesting devices. Samsung Galaxy S3 mini was a really cool device when it came out. Because we didn’t get an S2 Mini.

This was suppose to be a mini variant of S3 but it had lower specs and was way more fat! It kinda looked a bit cute and funny. Like a baby pig phone. But it had it’s charm. Many was curious on the device.

Main specs on Galaxy S3 mini: 4.0 inch Display, 480×800 pixels screen, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, NovaThor U8420 Chipset, 1.0GHz Dual-core processor with Cortex-A9, Mali-400 GPU, 5MP primary camera and VGA secondary camera.

This was back in the days when front selfie cameras had mega low megapixel! The memory inside this phone was 8GB/16GB variant and 1GB of RAM + microSD card up to 32GB! 1GB of RAM makes so you can’t really play any games with heavy performance requirements.

The battery in this phone was tiny 1500mAh! Something that was considered very common back in the days. These days we are shocked if we see a phone with a battery below 2000mAh! But the cool thing was how you could remove the battery in this phone.

This phone was using a larger SIM card the Mini-SIM type. In terms of video recording you could pull it off at 720p with 30 frames per second. It came with a 3.5mm audio jack for audio listen. Something that was standard in 2012 but is getting more common 2018 that companies remove that option!

The USB connector on Galaxy S3 mini for charging was the good old microUSB 2.0. Bluetooth it had pre-installed was 4.0. Another interesting thing was the amount of colours it got launched in: White, Blue, Titan Gray, Amber Brown, Garnet Red and Onyx Black! The browser already in 2012 was using HTML5!

A couple of years ago I made an unboxing of the Galaxy S3 mini. It was very fun to do. Let me know if you want me to get more cool phones in the future!

Samsung Galaxy on5 New Smartphone!

Samsung Galaxy On5 was a phone that got released a few years ago but that still is a major hit among people! Let’s have a look at what you get on the inside.

Main specs: 5.0 inch Display, TFT screen type, 720×1280 pixels, Android 5.1 Lollipop, Exynos 3475 Chipset, Quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz Cortex A7, Mali T720 GPU, 8MP primary camera, 5MP secondary camera and 2600mAh battery!

One of my favourite things about this device is how it packs a plastic body. Something that we saw on Galaxy S2 to Galaxy S5! Many really enjoyed it because it felt good in hand and was durable and you could replace the battery fast. These days Samsung has complicated it with glass body that breaks more easy and makes so you can’t change the battery.

Galaxy On5 comes with Dual SIM support. Perfect for people who travel around a lot. I also enjoy how it’s fairly slim just 8.5mm thickness. In terms of memory you are getting 8GB internal and 1.5GB of RAM. Which may be a bit small for some new intense Android games.

You can expand memory up to 256GB with a microSD card! Two colours exist White and Black. It cost around the same price as a Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus. But that was a few years ago. Now it probably is way cheaper and affordable.

Galaxy On5 has a pretty standard Samsung design. It almost look a bit like Galaxy S2. Which was one of my first Samsung phones I bought. I want Samsung to go back a bit to that design. It was really nice in look.

Would be cool to see Apple release some low cost devices as well but I know that’s not their strategy when it comes to business. But I would love to see a 100 euro Apple phone.
