3 new iPhone’s that we are expecting to see in 2018 we now here rumors will pack more stronger batteries. What the naming process will be we can only guess. But maybe they call it iPhone 9, iPhone X 2 and iPhone 9 Plus. They may even skip the number on the end and just stick to same name but improve the specs and just call it 2018 edition, 2019 edition etc.
iPhone X had worse battery life than Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 consumer reports showed us in their phone test. The display size on 2018 iPhone’s we expect will be: 6.5-inch iPhone and 5.8-inch iPhone. 6.5-inch will be really insane! I never seen a phone that large. Largest I seen and used has been Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. Both these new iPhone’s are expected to come with OLED displays. Which will bump up the price even further. The battery size KGI predicts are 2900mAh or 3000mAh.
The third iPhone that we think will come will be more budget friendly and have a large 6.1-inch display, it will feature a simple LCD display instead of OLED. This will keep the price down.
Other cool features in 2018 iPhone we think will come are rear-facing TrueDepth camera that can track your face and use Animoji and facial recognition with Face ID. This is something Samsung already offers with Samsung Galaxy S8. And it works great.
In 2018 all iPhone’s will probably come with an all-screen display. Finally moving away from the iPhone 6 front that has been used for far too long. But Apple still is at least a year behind Android companies like Xiaomi. Feels like they are slipping behind more in the phone industry. Feels like Apple peaked around 2013. Not that much interesting has been happening lately. But we hope that iOS 12 will have massive UI upgrades. Like iOS 7 had when it replaced iOS 6!
Every had these horrible cables from smartphones companies that keeps breaking after a few months? Same thing that happens with headphone cables they always break!
BlitzWolf got a new epic solution. Their new BW-MF5 2.4A Lightning to USB Braided Data Cable is way more durable! This cable is 3.33ft/1m, comes with MFI and Magic Tape Strap! It comes with a aluminium alloy shell. And not just braided once! But double-braided in a red colour with nylon material to prevent knotting.
The magic tape straps that comes with the BW-MF5 keeps your cables in order. So what is this cable built up by? First on the outside you have the polyester fiber jacket in red colour, then you get a TPE flexible cover in white, further in you have the anti-jamming aluminium foil and on inside you have your 30AWG data wire core and 22AWG power wire core.
The bend lifespan on this cable is 5,000+! Also comes with a long 18-Month warranty. Everyone is used to the standard either white or black boring cables. This really adds some style to your gear. The data transfer speed is 480MBps and you can charge at the same time!
All the latest iPhone it’s compatible with all iPhones from iPhone 7 Plus to iPhone 5, iPod nano 7th generation and iPod Touch 5th generation. There is also a similar cable for Android users that I might take a look on in the future!
Getting a good cable is something we are always lazy to start to invest in. Remember that the branded official cables usually cost like 10x more in price and last only a extremely short time in durability. This cable adds 5x the durability time. Which is amazing for the BW-MF5 user!
This cable does look the best when you rock a black edition iPhone. White iPhone it will probably look the worst with. Gold edition maybe in between. But with black oh wow!
Today I took a few photos to see which camera is the best. The Samsung Galaxy S8 camera or Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus camera. Now these are just some quick in-door photos that is taken without any flash. If you want me to do more test then for sure let me know!
So how does it stack up versus the Samsung Galaxy S8? So I’ve been using the Galaxy S8 for quite some time now as my main phone so I have a pretty good idea how it overall is.
So firstly the Apple iPhone 8 is rumored to come with a borderless Display. A display that might even go full up to the top and bottom of the phone! So Samsung already have a bezel less display when it comes to the sides. But the Galaxy S8 still doesn’t have a full bezel less display on the front. The AMOLED display doesn’t go fully up all the way to the top or bottom. The iPhone 8 might then have less bezel than Galaxy S8.
Second thing is how it’s rumored that iPhone 8 will switch to an OLED display away from LCD they been using on previous iPhones. As we know Samsung has been using an amazing AMOLED display for many years! Displays that offers way more vibrant exciting colors especially for looking at photos or video. It’s not that the current iPhone 7 display is super bad. But I really believe Apple will be able to compete better against Samsung with an OLED display. Attracting some Samsung customers maybe even.
The iPhone 8 looks like it will finally get facial recognition! They may call it Face ID. I use this feature already on my S8 and love it. It works almost every time in standard light. But in darkness many times it doesn’t work. But. There is a big bad thing with the iPhone 8.
And that is it may remove the fingerprint sensor that they call Touch ID. Which is a bad thing! I wouldn’t wanna live with a phone that doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. Because it’s one of the better ways to unlock a phone safe and always works with the right finger.
The face unlock may not work sometimes for me on Galaxy S8 so then I quickly use the fingerprint sensor. But if the iPhone 8 won’t have that then you will have to type the password using the keyboard when Face ID doesn’t work! How annoying.
Samsung’s camera’s are Awesome!
We also have some rumors that the iPhone 8 camera will be able to record in 4K 60fps maybe on both rear and front camera! Which is insane. It will sure take up lots of space in your phone. I have always found the iPhone cameras inferior to Samsung’s main cameras. At least since the Galaxy S3. Samsung seems to know what they are doing in that area.
My iPhone 7 camera has horrible field of view and blurry photos while zoom in vs. Samsung’s high quality camera sensor. Maybe it’s just me. But I don’t think so. Samsung does a really good job on hardware area! More less good on software optimisation…
We also have rumor about iPhone 8 that it will support wireless charging. Which of course is interesting for Apple fans. But the charger will probably cost €149 if I know Apple correct..
Now Samsung has been having wireless charging for years. But I don’t think it’s in widespread use. Because wireless charging usually charges slower. So it sort of becomes no point doing it for most. Some wireless chargers takes hours to charge your device! Which is boring.
Traffic Light iPhone!
The iPhone 8 is also probably going to feature a traffic light camera! It looks really stupid to be honest. And it will add weird weight on one side of the phone. They should remove the camera bump all together!
Samsung’s Galaxy S8 has a camera but it doesn’t stick out! So why does Apple’s have to do it? I think Apple has become a bit lazy after Steve Jobs passed away. Steve Jobs had so amazing visions but when the founder goes away usually it becomes more about the money and less about doing creative amazing solutions. This traffic light is just an annoying design!
Seems like Apple will go back to an all glass design. Which is bad. We already know about the broken glass on iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. And Samsung is also using glass back mine got smashed fast. It’s annoying. But I’m sure the companies do it just for the money. That they want your device to get broken. Because with glass what happens is you have to replace the whole back.
We are expecting to see three new iPhone 8 variants. One with OLED display the other two with standard LCD display. Galaxy S8 variants is available in S8 and S8+ variant and both feature same AMOLED display. The bad part here is the OLED iPhone 8 will probably be super expensive. So many will go with the standard editions.
Water Resistant (Hopefully Improvement over iPhone 7!)
I really hope the iPhone 8 has IP68 water resistant certification the IP-rating the iPhone 7 had was bad. I got two of them and they became unusable after Coca-Cola and water tests. They really must do a better job with the iPhone 8. The interesting part is how the new iPhone seems like it will be around same size as 4.7″ iPhone 7 but with a display of 5.5″ iPhone 7! Which is amazing. Because the iPhone 7 5.5″ really is too big. Feels like an elephant!
In processor we are going to get a brand new A11 chipset. Which I’m sure will perform well against Samsung’s Snapdragon 835/Exynos 8895 setup. Samsung also has amazing performance but the problem with Android is game and app optimisation usually is worse than Apple’s locked iOS system. Usually Apple optimise stuff better with using better software and optimising it.
Expensive oh no!
The iPhone 8 OLED variant is rumored to be costing around $1,000 which is laughable and so expensive. But then again people gonna pay…
From what I have seen on mockup photos of the new glass iPhone 8 it does remind me about the iPhone 3GS but less rounded. Which is funny. Feels like we are going back in time. Hopefully the device will be a bit slimmer but don’t hope for a major change compared to iPhone 7! I hope the iPhone 8 can be as thin and same width or smaller as the standard Galaxy S8. Because then it will feel a bit premium.
We are going to have to wait and see. Apple is expected to announce the 3 new iPhone models at a September event. So stay tuned for that.
