Huawei Honor 8 Lite is a compact edition of the famous Honor 8 smartphone! Let’s take a look at the specs it offers.
Main specs: 5.2 Inch display, EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat, Hisilicon Kirin 655 Chipset, Octa-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 4×2.1GHz + 4×1.7GHz cores, i5 co-processor, Mali-T830 MP2 GPU, FHD IPS screen with 423 PPI, 4GB of RAM, 32GB Internal storage, 12MP dual rear camera, 8.0MP front camera, Dual SIM Dual Standby, 128GB TF card expansion and 4G connectivity!
As you can see on the Honor 8 Lite’s design it still looks very much like the Honor 8. But just more in a compact form factor. The fingerprint rear sensor is nicely located at the back in center for easy reach. The camera is in the top corner. It still comes with a very glossy back side. And it has 2.5D double glass and is made with high-end craftsmanship.
The front facing camera is great for selfies and comes with specs as F/2.0 aperture, 27mm wide angle lens and support for many Beauty modes. The rear camera comes with specs: 7cm macro, PDAF fast focus, F/2.2 aperture and fast AF speed of 0.23s.
The battery has 3000mAh and will last for 15 hours in video playing time and 93 hours of music playing time. It comes with a 16nm power-saving chipset tech.
Some people would like to see that Honor 8 Lite come with an all-screen display that covered the full front but I think this would make the phone a bit more boring. If all phones in future is just a display then it will become a bit boring because there will be nothing that makes the phone’s different. Phones from 2006 and 2007 was truly amazing in creativity in their designs. Especially Nokia and Sony Ericsson did amazing hardware phones back then. I want us to get back to that creative time!

ZTE Blade A3 is a new phone that almost looks like an iPhone 7 Plus but it doesn’t come with a dual rear camera on the back. But it comes with some decent specs let’s have a closer look.
Main specs: 5.5 Inch display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB Internal Storage, MTK6737T Chipset, Quad-Core processor, Blue and Black colour, Plastic Body, Micro SD Card up to 128GB, Processor clocked at 1.45GHz and Android 7.0 Nougat.
The screen resolution on ZTE Blade A3 is 1280×720 pixels. It also comes with an earphone port 3.5mm standard size. The cameras are not really that impressive. Front camera 2.0MP with F2.4 and Rear camera with 5.0MP and F2.2 and flashlight.
Fingerprint scanner on the back side. The battery is massive on the other hand 4000mAh! And with slim 8.2mm thickness and 164 grams of weight. The USB connector is the old Micro USB 2.0. Not new USB Type-C!
Another thing that’s great with this smartphone is how it comes with an option to insert two SIM cards. With the Dual SIM Dual Standby functionality! This phone also comes with support for 4G bands!
Plastic can be good if you like to throw around your smartphone. I always did that with my Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note phones. Then Samsung released glass phones and metal phones and they became less durable. It’s very sad actually because plastic is the best material to use on low-end devices. The phones last longer!
ZTE Blade A3 comes with standard sensors too like light sensor, gravity sensor and distance sensor. The Bluetooth version is 4.1. Which you can use wireless headphones with. It also has WiFi and Internal GPS.
Do you like this phone or do you feel like it’s missing something? I love it a lot! Because of it’s basic design.

Elephone C1 Max is a phone that looks like you combined an iPhone 7 Plus and a Huawei Mate 9 smartphone and they had a baby. But a grown up baby with a massive display!
Main specs: 4G LTE, 6.0 inch, MTK6737 Quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB Internal storage, Android 7.0 Nougat, Dual Rear cameras, 2800mAh Battery, Not detachable battery, 5MP Front camera and 13MP rear camera.
So just as most other phones 2017 it comes with a dual rear camera. But it’s a bit more clean because it’s aligned more smooth to the phone body. It doesn’t protrude as much as the iPhone 7 Plus. The iPhone gets wobbly if you push on the sides when it’s laying on a surface. One of the camera is a mono sensor the other is a colour sensor these two images gets combined into one photo.
My favourite colour on this phone is the interesting red colour. It doesn’t look like the standard super vibrant red but more like a flower red. Very rare you see this colour on a smartphone. Another cool thing with this phone is you can take a photo and then focus later! You also get effects like the bokeh effect to create dramatic photos that looks like it was taken with a professional camera.
This device should be great for reading. Not just because of the large display but they seem to have optimized the experience by using larger and more characters in one page. The phone comes packed with Android 7.0 with features like Multi-window, Quick Settings, Bundled Notifications and Data saver!
If you take photos when it’s dark then you also get cool features like super night shot and noise reduction to make your photos look more professional. The phone also reminds me a bit about Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone in terms of it’s design! I truly love the symmetry design at the charging port side of the smartphone.
