Microsoft is launching a launcher for Android smartphones. In case you didn’t know the good thing with Android is your freedom ability to customize the OS experience. This is something you can’t do with iPhones or iOS 11. Apple wants to control the whole experience. That’s why Microsoft only is releasing a launcher for Android and not iOS.
Some famous launchers currently for Android are Nova, Google Now, CM, XOS and Apex. Let’s see what this new Microsoft Launcher brings you.
The main feature is that your recent photos, documents and more can be continued on your PC. So this is mainly great if you are a big fan of Windows products and use Windows 10 a lot on a daily basis and takes lots of photos and need an easy way to transfer them over to your PC.
On the home screen you can also do other things like put icons on your favourite people to access them quickly. The main thing in this launcher is “The Feed” where you can swipe to the right to see important events, top news, recent activities, favourite people and most frequently used apps.
The core good things here I see is recent activity and used apps that could be helpful. But this news thing I have always found to be kind of stressful to having to see world news that usually try to rely on shock stories to get you to react. I hope you can disable this function. I would love if it worked like an RSS reader where you could customize the feed exactly the way you want it. Just like Feedly is doing.
The cool thing Microsoft gives in this launcher is the ability to customize things. Colors and Theme and some other tweaks. It looks like the UI looks better than what I have seen from Windows 10 so maybe it will be great.
The problem with Microsoft can be that they usually aren’t experts at great design. Windows 10 I find is they use two themes one is the new tablet theme where they use lots of focus on making it “look cool” but it just gets more complicated.
The settings are in two areas one with new theme and one section with old theme. It’s not having Harmony in design like iOS and Mac products have. Windows 7 was the best designed Windows they should have sticked with that UI. But I think they panicked when they saw they missed out on phones and now they try to make up for it.
I am sure this launcher can be great! Microsoft actually had an Android launcher already called Arrow. But now they are renaming that to Microsoft Launcher. I really hope Microsoft can come back because they can do real great stuff. But I feel they are in a decline. Let’s see how they do in the future!
Today I want to write a review on an Android app called Earth HD Deluxe Edition. It will display the earth on your Android phone! Either on the lock screen of the device or just as a wallpaper. Depending on what phone you have.
When you swipe across the Home screen or Up/Down the Earth will start to spin around and move.
Inside the settings you can tweak many things. For example you can change the camera mode to Linear, Orbit, Fixed or Free.
With Orbit it only goes to the side not Up and Down.
With Fixed the earth still spins but it doesn’t move around more when you swipe your fingers on the screen.
You can also rotate the camera and have it slowly rotate around the earth. And you can select the speed on that option. You can also position the earth at the center if you want or any other custom position. They have added some cool theme’s you can switch between. Classic, Realistic, Future, Post-apocalyptic and Frozen earth!
To be honest I loved the classic the most. And then the Frozen Earth. Post-apocalyptic looked depressing. Realistic is a bit warmer in colors but reminds about classic. But I enjoy the classic more for it’s lighter softer colors. The texture I wish it could be a little bit higher graphics when you have camera distance normal or closer. A “little further” mode looks great. But would be amazing if higher textures was available for the closeups. Maybe in a few years with the Samsung Galaxy S9!
You can also switch the earth’s rotation speed. I think that with slow speed here it looks more realistic and makes you calm and peaceful when looking at. Here is the most amazing part with this app! It allows you to focus on satellites and still have the beautiful earth in the background! So you have two options here. Either Satellite Space Station V or Space Station V-II.
Both are super beautiful but I like the first one the most. It is a little bit smaller! And has cool rings! You can also add a realistic earth position. That will line it up depending on the current date. And you also have the option to add the moon!
If you feel the need to save battery life then you can change the FPS speed of this live wallpaper. FPS limit options are: 5 FPS, 15 FPS, 30 FPS, 60 FPS and Maximum!
Overall I really love this app a great developer with tons of other amazing apps. I checked out their Solar System HD Deluxe Live Wallpaper. Which is a mind-blowing app as well. Especially if you want more planets and Starfields to see and choose from!
Let me know in the comment section down below if you want me to check out another cool app that you know about!
Other apps from same developer are Into the Void, Zombie City Defense, Deep Galaxies HD, Snow HD Deluxe. I’m sure that I am going to check out many of them in the future. Because of the quality put into the apps.
While using this app on Samsung Galaxy S8 you may want to disable Bixby that’s available on home screen if you scroll a lot to the left side. Because that can get annoying. To disable Bixby hold in on an empty area of your home screen and go to the left and in the corner you can turn off the Bixby page.
Something that also is super cool with this app is how the earth is 50% dark so very realistic when you spin it around. If you spin to the dark side then you will be able to see the sun from far away. With it’s amazing sunlight it looks very realistic.
You can also see on the dark side of the earth some places where there is still light going on. As you know with large cities they have lots of lamps so you can see it from space! How magical effect it creates!
If you have the earth enabled to move when you swipe up then it will move when you enter the app drawer on the S8 which has the shortcut of swiping up on the home screen. It’s interesting because even inside the app drawer if you swipe the earth will still move. If you swipe on the lock screen then it doesn’t seem to move.
With the Solar System live wallpaper app from same developer that app was using your gyroscope to move things around while moving the phone. This app does not have that gyroscope support.
How could this app be improved if we play with that idea? Well first I think in it’s themes I see ton’s of potential over there. With adding maybe 30 cool themes in various colors and effects it would be extremely interesting. Because people truly love special premium themes that nobody else is using. Also to be able to maybe have more satellites would be extremely interesting.
Maybe be able to see an Elon Musk Mars spaceship, That would be so epic! Or see astronauts in space working on a space platform! There are many ideas and things you can do here. But I also believe that the live wallpaper is a bit limited by Android OS in what you can do more in depth.
But I am impressed with the latest versions of Android it’s premium speed. When the first iPhone came out in 2007 it was truly amazing and Android was a joke. Android was still a joke 2010 but with dual-core processors by 2011 thing’s started to shift and Android became interesting.
And finally these days to be able to use live wallpapers like this is perfect! Something that Apple gadgets cannot use if they don’t jailbreak.
It becomes clear to me that in the future we will be able to do even more amazing customize options with our phones. To make them truly stand out. This is the power of Android.
So there is a new game out which cost around €3-5 euro. It’s called Nexomon! It kind of reminds about a Pokemon game. You are this character running around and captures different Nexomon animals. You follow a story mode sort of like Final Fantasy. You fight in battles to capture new nexomons. And then you can heal your nexomons using items.
You have to be into journey games to play this because there are many menus of storytelling you can’t skip. You have something they call the Nexopad with a collection of 300 nexomons you can capture and find inside the game. The nexomons at the beginning of the game are usually hiding in the grass. You can see it moving!
The game has very nice cartoon graphics and audio. When you win a battle against another nexomon you gain experience and coins. With this you level up your own nexomons.
As a new player you are being called a tamer and get told it’s dangerous to walk outside town. You can talk with various people on your journey around the game. Sometimes you get rewards from these people like 300 coins. Sometimes they even challenge you to a nexomon battle.
When you are in battle you will loose health and stamina when you get attacked. But you can fill it up again with items in your bag. Like potions and ether. You have 4 different skills you can attack with. When you are new in the game only 3 is available and sometimes 2.
Sometimes when you attack certain nexomons you will *miss*. Because that nexomon has protection against that attack, you will have to use another. And sometimes when you win versus one nexomon they might have another one show up! Because in a battle you can use multiple nexomons if you have. You usually gain more experience the more you win. And coins.
And when you level up your HP, Stamina, Attack, Defence and Speed goes up! Sometimes you will see dramatic scenes in the game like a house damaged. And dramatic story music. Which shows that it’s a quality game trying to make the storyline more engaging.
Sometimes you will be rewarded a NexoBox. In those you will find a rare nexomon. After you open it you can add the nexomon to your party. And it will join you in future battles. You have different houses where you have nexobox storages. In here you can deposit nexomons or withdraw them. You also have nexostores in many cities where you can by nexoproducts. Things as nexotrap, potion, ether, elixir, anti burn, anti poison, anti freeze, anti paralyze, anti bind, anti sleep & anti confusion. You use the coins to buy, coins you gain from winning battles against nexomons.
Sometimes you get to hear secrets or tricks from talking to random people. Like the coolest nexomon is in the eastern cave!
One of the first story modes is you have to go to a bodybuilder called Ivan to find more information about a nexolord. The most powerful tamer of nexomons. You get to learn about champions after you beat Ivan. Which are the inner circle of a nexolord. Ivan was just an overseer.
You have different environments you play this game in sometimes you explore a cave and harder enemies. Then you have to go back and level up your nexomons by going into easier battles to win easier experience and coins. It seems like you can have up to 6 nexomons in your party.
And yes the game has premium shop for in-app purchase but it doesn’t feel as spammy as for example’s EA’s games. First you can buy for real money Diamond currency, NexoTraps, Avatars, Pets & Other Items. You can also open up golden nexobox or standard for diamonds to receive super rare nexomon.
In the nexopad profile you can see your tamer name, play time, coins, diamonds, nexomonds found, support code. You can also see your avatar and change it’s design.
The 3 games this reminds me about is Pokemon GO, Final Fantasy 3 and Lego Rock Raiders. I can see myself play it for long hours. The nice graphics and smooth gameplay on iPhone 7 makes it interesting. The fast talking menu’s are also very enjoyable.
One thing that can be a little bit annoying in a game like this is too many battles and leveling up. It can become very repetitive. And if you are stuck in a cave and need to get out you can have annoying enemies popup in your path.
The game also has some special features like iCloud support for backup data on all devices to play both iPhone, iPod and iPad support! You can get exclusive nexomon iMessage stickers. 8 legendary nexomons. 9 different colorful and vibrant regions. 100% animated monsters for enjoying battles. High quality gaming experience!
The overseers in the game guard cities and various places. They have tamers below them that wanna engage in quick battles. To one time themselves maybe become an overseer.
What happens when your party loses and all your nexomons have a health of zero is it becomes game over. From this menu you can either load checkpoint or load game. While you play the game you have the option to go in and save/load.
Be sure that you level up your nexomons a lot in easy battles first before you go into a dangerous cave or on an adventure. So you are ready for the higher level battles. If not then you might have to restart from far away back in the game. So remember to save and plan your trips for optimal gaming experience.
In harder areas of the game you usually become attacked or meet challenges just by walking on the standard path. But in the more safer area you only get attacked while you are in the grass. And the easier place have mostly one nexomon in battle. So you only have to defeat 1 to win! But in harder areas there can be up to 6 nexomons in one battle!
Whenever you want to capture a new nexomon in battle you click on the red and grey nexotrap at the bottom center of the screen! You have to buy these from the nexostore. If you weaken the enemy a bit first I’m sure it will be easier to capture him and add him into your collection. A quick look at your opponent right side of the screen will display under his health bar if he is a common nexomon or a rare nexomon!
Overall I really enjoy this game. This is a story game where you get so much value. So even when it’s a paid app with some in-app purchase options it’s highly enjoyable and worth it. Let me know if you find out about any other quality games you want me to check out!
If you ever wanted a cool Android wallpaper and like space this app is pretty cool! It’s called Solar System HD Deluxe.
It will make you be able to have planets in the background as a wallpaper or on your lock screen. You can select between a wide range of Settings. Planet, Star System, Starfield & Stardust.
You can also select if you want an Asteroid field. But this will require a more high end device like Samsung Galaxy S8 or OnePlus 5. Both having the Snapdragon 835 processor. Also if a planet has satellites you can select to enable them too. You also have an option to glow up the planet. And then you have an option for big stars in the background.
My first impressions using this one on my Samsung Galaxy S8 was amazing. Super good performance and smooth. You might have a different experience on a slower device. You need a gyroscope on your phone to be able to use this app if you want it to move around in hand.
In the planet scene you have these different options to choose between. None, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. There are also some bonus options available: Twin Stars, Nox, Orpheus and Magma. Of course earth is my favorite! Seeing our little planet from a space view with the globe spinning around is powerful! My favorite thing with this app is the HD super high quality textures that is being used. And when you pick up the phone it is using the gyroscope to move the scene around!
The Sun is a good scene selection when you wanna have something super bright as a wallpaper. It really does shine up magically and it looks like the sun texture is lovely made so it looks like the sun really is burning!
Venus looks a bit yellow and brown. More easier to the eye than the sun.
Mars looks very red and black. You can also see a planet a bit in the background with the Mars scene.
Saturn looks amazingly yellow and you can see it with it’s beautiful rings. It kinda reminds me about a discoball!
Uranus looks wonderfully blue. It also has it’s blue and light white rings. This one you have to tilt your phone to the side to see because the rings are in a horizontal position!
Neptune’s scene has even more amazing blue color reminds me about Mars but a blue one. Very amazing shades of blue in this one!
Pluto looks very grey.
The bonus Twin Stars features two glowing planets. One the sun and another further away shining white and blue! Nox bonus has a very strange set of colors. I leave it up to you to have a look at yourself!
Orpheus looks very futuristic like. Kind of sounds like an ancient greek planet name and it looks like a new Utopian earth planet!
Maybe Elon Musk should try to find a magical planet like this!
And then we come to the most amazing bonus of all! The Magma planet! Wow wow wow! This one reminds me about planet Mars but this one is way more darker and badass in the red color! Looks like a dark side planet! I love it so much with it’s shade of bright lava red and darker black colors.
So that was a quick review of the planet scene system you can select between.
Next you can select between Star System’s! These you can pick between: None, Crimson Nebula, Azure Galaxy, Golden Galaxy and Milky Way Galaxy.
Crimson Nebula has a futuristic look to it, different shades of blue and dark pink in the background.
Azure Galaxy is a bit similar but with more light stars in the background giving a bright shade of white.
Golden Galaxy is beautiful with lots of bright shining gold colors! It looks like paradise! A very beautiful texture here.
Milky way has tons of circles spinning with stars on them. Very beautiful colors of blue and bright white in the middle. And you also see super many stars all over the place!
I have been mentioning that the Star System was very blue at the top a lot… But you can tweak this! With the Starfield setting you can select between these colors. The blue is the default. The other ones are: Simple, Orange, Green and Dark! I do get a feeling that many of you will switch to dark!
You can also go in and tweak Stardust if you want it calm or boiling. To be honest at a quick glance I didn’t notice a major difference.
You also have some other options. You can select between various focus distances. I didn’t notice a big difference for me. But my favorite tweak here is you can select distance! The default is close to planet. You can change it too Very far or Far. So you can see the full planet in it’s glory! You can also select how much you want the camera to move while you move around the phone. And select movement radius. Again I really enjoy how it has so many options for tweaking the experience.
You also have the options to save battery by limiting the FPS. These are the options: 5, 15, 30, 60 FPS and MAX. Max is for the users who charge their phone 15x a day! You can also select low resolution textures to save even more battery if you feel it’s draining your battery life. But it probably doesn’t drain it as much as the Facebook mobile app!
You can also disable the gyroscope if you want the background to be more fixed but still work in a live wallpaper way.
Overall I am very glad to see the quality of this app. And I highly recommend it if you like space. And wanna see planets on your home screen’s or lock screen. I bet your friends will be impressed. If you have a high end phone that can handle the app.
Some future ideas for the app maybe would be more close up on planet earth! So you can see custom countries more close up! Or amazing views closeup that exists on planet earth. I look forward to all future developments. Here is a link to the app one more time!
Thanks for reading!

Today I want to talk a little bit about keeping track of habits. Some app’s that I use that are extremely helpful on Android when you do this.
So the first app is called: Goal Tracker & Habit List. This is an extremely good app to quickly write in a ton of habits and keep track of your current streak with a monthly calendar built in.
The second app I find extremely useful is called aTimeLogger. This app will help you keep track of how long you have been doing a certain task. And the good thing is you can have multiple time loggers going on at the same time. As well as adding a bunch of new things you wanna track. With a built in custom colour and icons available for free.
The third app that can be good to quickly get your ideas down on paper if you hate writing is a free app called Speechnotes. This app will record your voice in english and try to translate it in realtime as you speak. I think it does a pretty damn good job at it. It does make a lot of mistakes but sometimes also amazingly good translation.
I also use a 4th app which is extremely useful to get most of your ideas down in text and it’s called ColorNote. You can easily create fast notes and sync them online and you can create notes in various colours to keep track of certain topics. Very easy to use and friendly app.
One extremely good thing I have noticed in my life in how you can organise your habit life is that you first identify in a list which habits are the most important first that you should get control over. And then when you know the key habit you need to work on then just focus in on that until you have got it under control. Now you have an habit order you can work on.
Develop Chain Strong Habits!
I have noticed when I try to start multiple new habits at the same time I always end up failing. But if I just focus on get 1 habit down for 2-3 months until it’s extremely strong then I can keep it. And I can then start to work on my 2nd most important habit in my life that will produce a big shift for me.
What habits that are most important for you to get down is of course very individual. People struggle with different things in their lives. Also you have to find out what sort of life you want, what you feel is your true calling and try to move towards that. Creating a new strong habit people usually think that they can do it for a few weeks then it will be strong. More realistic it will probably take a few months to make it strong. If you work on it daily.
Habits aren’t really hard to do once you get into a routine. But when you start maybe you will be able to identify other things that stops you in your current path. You will bump into different walls when you are trying to do stuff in life. Maybe you thought 1 key habit you have to get down first. But a few weeks in you notice and detect another more important habit that you need to fix first.
Set High Goals!
And then here comes a very important point where you have to ask yourself if you are willing to make the sacrifice to take time to implement these new habits into your life. This has a lot to do with discipline, self-mastery and self-control. Many times people really don’t see the massive reward to go through all of this to maybe get a 10% better life.
But why not fix a vision that is exciting? A goal that is 10X higher than you have previously thought of? Many people make the mistake of making low goals and actually get them. Instead of aiming super high and maybe you don’t get there but with a high goal at least you will probably get further than a smaller goal. And a smaller goal is not that exciting to chase and create solid habits with. Not that motivating.
It’s a Marathon Not A Sprint!
I have worked out my own purpose what I wanna do in life and I constantly most days go over it again to see if there is something that I wanna tweak in my life purpose. It gives me a direction and I’m not that interested in what happens next week or next month I try to aim in for goals where I try to set them where I can be in 10 or 15 years with solid steady habits that you keep on doing for the rest of your life.
Especially when you have found the golden habits that works for you. For example people learn in different ways, some people learn by reading, watching, audio or writing down. You have to find what is most effective for you. I have found writing to be my most effective one. When I write I remember myself about the new lesson.
Never Ending Abundance Like A Waterfall!
And I also believe in abundance so when I put something out into the universe a new better idea will soon follow. Because I have made my brain empty of ideas. And it will try to make the ideas more solid. I also believe that you have to share in life. We are not independent islands we humans. We are all connected and we all affect each other with everything we do. We become what we consume and the people we surround ourself with.
A funny thing I read about the brain is that it cannot tell the difference between reality and imagined stuff. So if you read let’s say a book about the roman empire your brain can’t tell if you have experienced that in real life or if you are just in your bed reading a bed time book.
I wanna finish this blog post off with a great quote from a great book I really enjoy from a very successful man called Napoleon Hill. In his book The Law of success he said this:
