Lenovo Phab 2 Plus is a massive Android smartphone. I have already talked good about Lenovo’s ZUK Z2 Pro with Snapdragon 820. The Phab 2 has another speciality. Being massive for a low price! Let’s see what you get inside.
Main specs: 6.4 inch 1920×1080 resolution display, Dual rear camera, 3GB of RAM, 32GB Internal storage, MTK8783 Octa-core processor, 4G, External Micro SD/TF card up to 128GB, 8.0MP Front camera, 13.0MP Dual Rear camera, 4050mAh and 218 grams weight!
The first thing I see with the design on Phab 2 Plus is how it looks like a Huawei Mate 9 on back but with slimmer camera parts and more curved design! The fingerprint sensor and sides of the phone reminds me about Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X! A very interesting mix they have put together. Lenovo seems to find inspiration from lots of places.
Something that’s missing with this device that would make it an ultimate seller is a Stylus. Why is no company challenging Samsung in this area? I think the stylus truly makes a large phone stand out. Because then it makes sense to have a massive display! Another thing here compared to ZUK Z2 Pro this one has expandable storage which is nice. In max you get 32GB more in this device if you insert a maximum Micro SD card.
Phab 2 Plus comes with Android 6.0 which might be a little boring now when we have both Android 7.0 Nougat and Android 8.0 Oreo out. Especially Oreo that truly has redesigned the whole interface! They don’t seem to have their own UI so may be vanilla Android 6.0. Like HMD is doing with their new Nokia branded phones. At least this phone is a safe purchase Lenovo just as ASUS is famous for getting quality reviews on their brand new gadgets.
