A few months ago I talked about a cool iPhone X design copycat phone called Leagoo S9. You can now buy that device. So let’s go over it quick to see what you get inside this smartphone! First of course it comes with the notch and the rear traffic light design camera.
Main specs: 5.85 inch Display, HD+ with 1212×720 pixel screen, IPS type, Android 8.1 Oreo, MT6750 Chipset, Octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and ARM Cortex-A53 28nm setup, Mali-T860 MP2 GPU clocked at 520MHz, 4GB of RAM, 32GB Internal storage, TF card support up to 128GB, 4G VoLTE support, Dual SIM Dual Standby, 2.5D curved glass display and Type-C 2.0 connector!
First thing you detect on Leagoo S9 is the massive display! This will be great for people that enjoy playing games or watch Netflix on their phone. The front camera comes with an 8.0MP sensor. The rear camera is dual and has 13.0MP + 0.3MP lens.
Other things that exist are OTG support and OTA updates. You can even unlock the phone with your face just as you would on iPhone X or Samsung Galaxy S9! On the rear side you can find a fingerprint sensor. It’s a very thick phone with 11.8mm thickness.
The battery which is built in has 3300mAh! I wish it was a removable variant but not even the low cost Android phones gives you that these days. Quick charging is on board with 5V/2A setup. You can also find 3.5mm earphone jack!
Leagoo S9 comes in three colour editions: Black, Gold and Blue. It looks very glossy all of them. I think because of the back glass design. Makes it looks like an ASUS ZenFone smartphone! The front has an all screen display with super small bezels. It looks like a premium iPhone at the front side.
It’s super nice how it runs Oreo version of Android. So you get great performance and the latest security updates and bug fixes. You get even high quality music from the speaker.
There is a new super cool game out for Android which is called PUBG Mobile. It’s made by Tencent Games and is using the Unreal Engine 4. The visual experience is amazing they did really well with the graphics and performance.
This game seems like a combination of The Sims 4 and GTA 5. What happens is 100 players parachute down on a remote 8x8km island and try to kill as many enemies as possible . On the map you can find weapons, vehicles and supplies. The tricky thing is that the playing zone is always shrinking. You want to be the last person to survive. You also have your own team mates that will help you!
In terms of sound with PUBG Mobile you get 7.1 channel surround sound and amazing 3D sound effects and high quality audio. I like how they have so many variations of weapons so you can have a real fun time. This game reminds me about the huge Battlefield 3 maps on Windows.
The vehicles that exist are very abundant in variation: Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles and Boats. You can also play this game with friends and use voice chat to have various plans to take over battle zones. They even have created an anti-cheat system that will try to detect any cheaters.
One downside is that PUBG Mobile requires you to have constant Internet connection. So not good for people that are living in the forest or just have bad data service. 2GB of RAM is needed and at least Android 5.1.1. But that won’t be an issue for most since new Android phones are being launched with Android 7.0 or Android 8.1 Oreo these days. Even low cost Android phones.
It’s nice to see that 3D Android games are really becoming amazing. I think that in a few years we will see GTA 5 style graphical games to be released on phones. Since Octa-core phones are becoming truly super powerful these days. And people usually spend most of their life now on their phone not on a PC. So we need that super strong future CPU to be able to run mega heavy and large games.
Blackview P10000 Pro is a new smartphone that comes with a massive internal battery. One of the biggest I have ever seen. The screen is also very large!
Main specs: 5.99 Inch Display, 1080×2160 pixel screen, IPS type, 18:9 aspect ratio, Android 7.1 Nougat, MT6763 Chipset Helio P32, octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, ARM Mali G71 MP2 GPU clocked at 700MHz, 4GB of RAM LPDDR3 type, 64GB Internal storage, SD/TF card up to 128GB and 4G connectivity.
The first cool aspect about P10000 Pro is the extremely nice design. The battery on the inside has 11,000mAh! Which is like three Samsung Galaxy Note 8 smartphones! The weight is huge with 293 grams! The thickness of this phone is 14.65mm! I wish the Bluetooth edition was 5.0 but it’s only 4.1. So wireless audio might not be perfect.
The camera sensors you get here is first a 13.0MP + 0.3MP dual front camera. The rear camera has a 16.0MP + 0.3MP setup. And comes with F2.2 aperture. In terms of colours these variants exist: Grey, Leather Gray and Silver. Would love to see a Blue, Red or a Green edition. This phone also comes with support for dual SIM.
P10000 Pro is a bit glossy on the back side. Something we have seen more phones are starting to adopt. The build materials are Australian Calf real leather and high definition glass. The quick charge speed it comes with is 5V/5A! The display more in detail is a In-cell FULL HD+ kind.
Another super cool thing is how it supports Face Recognition technology to fast unlock your phone with face. Same as the Galaxy S9 and iPhone X supports! Samsung is making the memory for this phone and Sony the camera hardware! I really hope it will get an upgrade to Android 8.1 Oreo that is the latest version of Android for the current moment.
Nokia 1 is a new low cost Android smartphone. It’s great for people that want a phone with a smaller display. Most Android phones these days comes with at least a 5 inch display. But many want something smaller. Just as in Galaxy S2 days. This phone can be a good option for old timers.
Main specs: 4.5 inch IPS LCD type Display, 480×854 pixel resolution screen, Android 8.0 Oreo, Mediatek MT6737M Chipset, Quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz Cortex-A53 type, Mali-T720 GPU, microSD card up to 128GB, 8GB Internal storage, 1GB of RAM, 5MP Primary camera and 2MP secondary camera!
Clearly the camera area is not this phone’s strength side! The battery it comes with has 2150mAh! Another thing that is good to know is that this is a non 4G phone. So no fast internet surf speeds. This is like a more premium Nokia 3310 2017 edition.
The two colours you could get it in are Warm Red and Dark Blue. Wish they had a full Black edition as well. It’s nice how the battery is removable. It also features a 3.5mm audio jack. Bluetooth edition is 4.2. It’s using the old microUSB 2.0 connector instead of Type C.
Another good thing is that this is a plastic phone just as the small Galaxy S2 was. Many new Android phones only comes in metal or glass build. This phone also has support for Dual SIM so perfect for people traveling the world. It’s pretty thick with 9.5mm thickness.
It doesn’t come with a home button but it features 3 on screen keys at the bottom of the display to navigate around in Android. The video recording you can do with this phone is 480p video quality. The Mali GPU will be able to play some nice graphics games.
1LINE is currently the most downloaded Android Play Store game. This is a puzzle game. You draw 1 line and you need to connect all the dots with it.
This game is already a bit hard at the beginning. Just like other puzzle games this requires some thinking. Other games like Angry Birds is a bit easier to get into since you only aim and shoot. This requires thinking. Surely this will improve your brain skills when it comes to coming up with solutions quick.
The amount of levels in 1LINE that exist are 10 but they also included 500 stages in total. You can also get hints for how to clear various stages. This is good if you feel that the game is too difficult. Then you have some special lines that will make you having to use your imagination to solve the puzzle!
The shapes the stages comes in is a bit fascinating. It’s very creative I would say. The graphics in the game is also great looking. The sound in the background is also very relaxing. Just as other Android games this one have a built in leaderboard. They also have a recommend section where they show you other awesome apps that are very similar that you may be interested in.
People in the comment section say that 1LINE is a quite addictive experience. Games like this reminds me a little bit about AdVenture Capitalist. Which also is very addicting.
Games will just improve as we move further into the future. And people will have a harder time to try to stay away from them. But we are also now going to implement cryptocurrency in new games which means you will be able to earn currency that you later could go trade to Fiat currency.
I’m really looking forward to see what will happen with games in the future especially in the virtual reality space.
