How To Make Your Own Mobile Apps for Android 7.0 and iOS 11!

Today I wanna talk a little bit about making your own mobile apps. I have always been interested in these topics of programming. And it’s quite an exciting subject because of how much you learn while you are making apps. You learn to become a problem solver. My first language I learned was HTML and CSS and how to build basic websites. If you wanna go deeper into the web after HTML and CSS then Javascript and PHP is the path forward. With PHP you can create Forums and Login pages.

There are many ways you can make mobile apps. But I will talk about the main ways. The main way to do it on Android is using the Android Studio from Android Developers. It’s an IDE. Integrated Developer Environment. That will give you lots of help when getting started. If you want to program apps for iOS you will need to use Xcode from Apple Developers. These 2 services are a little different because the Android way is free. To use Apple’s Xcode you will first need an Apple computer and a Developer account which goes for around 100 euro per year.

There is another amazing service called Unity. That will allow you to program apps for multiple platforms at the same time. With Unity it both exist to install on Windows and Mac. It’s a Game Engine. And it will allow you to build and export a project to PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, tvOS, Android, Tizen, Xbox One, PS Vita, PS4, WebGL & Samsung TV! So it’s a full universal app if you can’t decide what sort of operating system you wanna work with.

My own experience I highly recommend Xcode if you are serious about app making. The cool thing with Apple’s Xcode is how well produced this software is to truly create beautiful apps. You can fast have some games or software you wanna create up and running. And there are many great tutorials online how you can create stuff.

But if you wanna make apps I highly recommend you start with Unity because of it’s universal platform. Also remember that if you are new to programming that the first parts will usually feel extremely boring. But after you have learned one language you will have an easier time to understand other languages because most languages works in many similar ways but with different names. If you wanna see the potenial with Unity then I recommend that you go watch Brackeys on YouTube.

Probably the most talented person in creating games fast and making both the graphics and music himself! If you are curious on solid Xcode tutorials then I recommend you checkout Ray Wenderlich they create extreme high quality material. I am always amazed how good their work is. I just wanna buy it because of the amazing work they put into their work!

Of course it will be easier for most to start looking into Android programming because then you will have a larger audience you can easier send out your app to. With Apple’s Xcode and swift language that will be way more complicated. And it could be a bit annoying when you have started with a new project.

One of the things I notice when I get deep into focus on programming is you make fast progress! And then if you stop for a few weeks and look back at what you created it may look scary all the things you did. After you lost momentum it will all look so hard again. Our brain we use when deeply focused on a task is extremely powerful.

One thing I highly recommend when you do a new project is learn it to others same time that you are building it! Even though you don’t know all the whole process of teaching others at the same time will make you smarter and burn in the lessons deeper into your head. And another thing that is awesome is how you will get feedback from others at the same time, people that is exploring the same kind of field.

And with those people you can form a strong group where you can learn together and faster by sharing ideas. As the universe seems to work everything you focus on a lot seems to expand.

So if you just throw your projects out there to others to comment and give feedback on then you are working on a law of universal abundance. Every time you give value you will get the same sort of value back in life. Which I have discovered in my life. You really can’t cheat yourself forward in life.

It really does take humility to build your own apps. Because with programming you will detect how little you actually know in life. For me that has never been a problem because I have always been in love with life. And always loved to explore areas other’s don’t wanna explore. I’m on a continuing journey!

The thing is also that when you create your own apps and truly understand how various apps work you will be more of an owner in life and feel more in control. And you will also realise there are no limits in life. Everything you see around yourself was built by humans just like you. Steve Jobs had a great quote about that.

I always found the Android tutorials online a bit boring. I need more soul and love in teaching to actually wanna learn a language. With Xcode you have this amazing community of people who truly create amazing apps and games. And same with Unity you have dedicated people who truly wanna create something amazing. Which I highly love.

I don’t want programming to be this boring thing because then it’s very easy to give up. Programming needs to be connected with Beauty/Fun/Soul/Spirit. If it becomes that then it will be more fun learning something new.

Learning needs to become fun! I think I will start to dig deep inside of Unity again or Xcode. My only problem is I feel life is too short! I really enjoy Beauty and Knowledge more than programming. But if life was longer like 1000 years then I would easily invest a couple 100 years into mobile programming.

4 Crazy Steps How Marketing Works To Gain Attention!

Audio Version:

Marketing is one area I find highly interesting to study. Because of how powerful it is. We all market ourself and what we do constantly to other humans. It can be very useful to understand on a deeper level how marketing works. Especially in these times with a new marketing that is online.

Now when the world is getting globalised and everything connected the potenial in life is truly limitless. When billions have access to the internet then that is billions of ideas and potenial to network and find amazing humans.

And also extremely good time to learn more about marketing. So I will show you 4 keys to marketing here from a great book called CA$HVERTISING by Drew Eric Whitman. The book is long and contains many extremely useful lessons about human nature.

Here is a quote from the book with 4 crazy steps that works to gain attention and use it in a marketing way. First step: Something scary. Second, a recommendation. Third, it’s a good working recommendation. Fourth, you can do it!:

We are all sellers in this world. Sellers to survive.  Creating products and services is the way forward in this digital world. With access to so many humans you can easily find a market that you can take advantage of. This book from Drew contains over 100 secrets about marketing. But I will just quote a few and will give you my insight also in marketing.

Number 1 solution for results:

My job in life has been to market my YouTube videos so I can get enough eyeballs to watch my videos so advertising could be sold next to the videos so I can pay my rent.

And I been successful at it to live on it. Because I threw myself into taking action and put myself in a situation where I have to succeed or I have no money to live. Usually when you throw yourself into a situation like that you will succeed because there is no other option. Many times people do not put this pressure on themselves their life is just a bit too easy so they don’t see the point in spending more effort.

So in total right now my marketing experience making YouTube videos has resulted in over 500,000,000 million clicks on my content. So I have learned a lot of useful information how marketing works. Which I also will reveal more in blog post’s on this website.

I have learned a lot how humans work. And that the ego and vanity in humans is great to exploit in marketing. I chose to invest my time in the biggest vanity material object of all to gain attention. Making videos about phones.

People like phones because they feel it will make them more amazing. Because of the limitless potenial of what you can do with today’s phones. So I noticed that when I did videos on things people truly desired then people come in droves. Sadly most time people only use phones for consuming content instead of generating possibility.

A great quote from CA$HVERTISING about vanity and ego:

It’s quite interesting how it all works. Remember people are focused on themselves. So you need to find a way to give a lot of value to the people you market to. Solve their needs. I noticed many of my clicks on my videos didn’t come to my smartest and deepest intelligent videos. Most people aren’t interested in that.

Most people just want entertainment. Some quick thing to watch to take their mind off something else in their life. I have also noticed that people on my videos spend an average of 2 mins per click to stay and watch. That is so crazy!

The click generation

I have learned that people don’t seem to value their time high. What happens is people spend 2 minutes on a video and if they keep clicking to another video they feel like they are being productive and that time isn’t passing. Time is passing and you are wasting precious time.

This usually happens because humans are in an unconscious state most of their life. If they were conscious they wouldn’t waste time in zombie mode. I have written great blog post’s about it in the past that you can check out if interested.

But my favorite book so far about how to escape deep unawareness is A NEW EARTH by Eckhart Tolle. I constantly read it for new valuable insights. And I put quotes on valuable things said and re-read those parts. It’s very easy to do in the Kindle app on Android.

And one of the main reason people actually do spend time on my videos is because I bring deep calm present awareness into my videos. So when people click it for a moment they feel alive and better like something cool is happening. But usually they return to a low down state pretty fast afterwards. The reason this happen is because most of humanity has always been in this deep unconscious state. So it’s the normal for many humans.

The thing I find interesting is how you can with the power of the written word move people in different directions. How we humans are more easily affected than we would like to admit. You have the power to make changes in other people’s lives. That if we see an ad for 2 seconds and then look away we think it didn’t affect us. But it did. And all these small marketing secrets many is being used on you daily to try to move people in different directions.

Advanced Robots Will Change Stuff

If there is one thing that is for sure is that it’s all going to become more advanced in the future, marketing in general and other areas. Especially the more you have algorithms that can detect patterns in humans and constantly tweak people’s life so they only see certain parts. It’s both very scary and fun at the same time. In the way that life is in a major shift with the computer area. You can make ton’s of money without seeing a single human ever in your life. But humans are more than ever on this planet. So there will be a lot of people that will need good guidance.

I want to do my best to try to give people helpful advice in life and deeper insights in how many things work. Just because it brings me such a joy to educate others. Because a lot of people need help out there. And it will only increase in the future with more automation in computing and robotics.

Knowledge is critical in this era. Because one day it may not be here anymore. Especially if the internet collapses one day. There are very few copies of valuable information left then.

Adrian

iPhone 8 vs. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 vs. LG V30 vs. Sony Xperia XZ1 Poll!

Audio Version:

So today I want to make a poll to see which phone you are looking forward to the most late 2017.

So we have four different new high end phones that will soon be released. Lets start by talking about the Apple iPhone 8. It’s expected to come with a 5.8″ OLED Display, Speedier A11 processor, Glass body, Edge-to-edge Display, Facial Recognition that probably will replace Touch ID.

So no fingerprint sensor on iPhone 8 seems like. Or home button. Because of the Edge-to-edge display. And wireless charging functionality. Something Android has been having for years.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be like a Galaxy S8+ but with a dual-led camera and an S-Pen. And a smaller battery! It will have either Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835. Both the iPhone 8 and Note 8 is suspecting to feature glass back. Which is bad for protection it can break easier than other materials. So it will probably be a good idea to wear a case with these phones. iPhone 8 will be running on Apple’s latest iOS 11 which currently is in beta. New Note 8 will run with Samsung Experience 8.1 and Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

The LG V30 is a new LG phone expected to be unveiled on August 30th a day before IFA 2017 Europe’s largest tech show opens up in Berlin on September 1.

This phone is expected to have 6″ QHD+ OLED Display, rounded corners, Snapdragon 835 (Same processor as Galaxy S8 and OnePlus 5 has), 3200mAh battery, some new “floating bar” (Quick access to shortcuts and notifications), dual-rear cameras for high-performance image capture. It will also feature HDR 10 and Google Daydream support. IP68 certification.

LG G6 was a phone I really enjoyed from LG and I bet this V30 phone will be even more awesome. Looks like they put a great deal of effort into an improved camera. Hopefully the phone won’t come with a glass back I can’t stand that material on a phone. But it probably will have a glass back.

Another rumored device to come soon is the Sony Xperia XZ1. We have some leaked photos already where you can see a device running Android 8. Sony is expected to unveil three new devices on IFA 2017. Sony Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact and X1. And based on the pictures we have seen then it looks like XZ1 may be Sony’s first device to have a fingerprint sensor on the back side. Just as other phone companies is doing. Sony usually only did this on the side button.

Sony still seems like they wanna go with their thick bezels trend with no Edge-to-edge style screen. Most other phone companies are starting to slim down their edges to only have a big display on the front. Not Sony. On the other hand it was a long time ago Sony used a home button on the front side. Something we now see other phone companies is starting to do, remove the home button. Only on-screen keys.

If I’m going to have to pick my favorite between all these four I will easily go for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. That is the one phone that stands out and has something the other phones don’t. A stylus to quickly be able to be creative and take notes. And draw things in a creative way. Apple is falling behind I think since 2013 in creativity. They don’t seem to have the same spark as they had with Steve Jobs.

For example these days other companies copy Apple’s design before they even release their product. This year both Essential PH-1 and Sharp Aquos S2 has done the iPhone 8 design and released their phone’s before Apple even announced their iPhone 8!

So there is little things that are special with Apple these days. Now you can get a Android phone with good specs and latest iPhone look for probably around 200 euro. It doesn’t make that much sense these days to pay 800 euro for a flagship device. But people will still do it. The new iPhone 8 also has this horrible traffic light design on it’s camera which I really don’t like

EverythingApplePro discussed about the Android copycats that stole the iPhone 7 design. Here is a number of phone’s copying the iPhone 7 Plus design. Oppo R11, Honor 8 Pro, OnePlus 5, Zenfone 3 Zoom, Honor V9, OUKITEL U20+, CUBOT Rainbow 2, UMIDIGI Z Pro, Ulefone Gemini Pro.

Now this just show’s that Apple need to find something new original thing to do because now people truly are catching up to them. Also many of these Android phones I mentioned here is fully high quality phones. That can do just as much as an iPhone but with a lower price tag.

Another phone that I didn’t mention in this poll but would be worthy to mention is the new Nokia 8 which is expected to be announced soon. So the Nokia brand has made a comeback with HMD. I bought their new Nokia 3 which is their more low end device and I was impressed with it’s quality. For being so cheap it still performs well. Can play high-end games even. One thing that’s a bit boring is how these new Nokia branded phones is coming with a almost full stock Android look. Which I find a bit uncreative for a comeback. They should work on creating their own user experience interface.

The new high-end Nokia 8 is expected to have Snapdragon 835, 4GB of ram, QHD Display, and maybe a 5.25″ screen size. 64GB built-in storage and 51GB available to the user. There is also a 12MP Zeiss optics camera which can shoot 4K video. As I have understood the front facing camera is also 12MP! Nokia 8 will probably be a bit cheaper than the other brands. A more OnePlus 5 pricing maybe around 500-600 euro. The other high end phones probably more at 700-900 euro. Nokia 8 is expected to be announced in London on August 16. We already have a mid-range Nokia phone called Nokia 6.

I expected something more exciting to be revealed with a new iPhone especially now when it’s completely 10year since the first but looks like they will disappoint many with their traffic light iPhone.

Thanks for reading!

Best Regards,

Adrian

New Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Leaked Wallpapers!

Audio Version:

Soon the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be released by Samsung. Here are 13 official HD wallpapers leaked. These wallpapers will be inside the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Most of them seems to be of a very calm theme one is showing an ocean, another some mountains and a third some clouds. If you wanna see them all hit up the download link: Click Here!

Expectations!

So what’s the deal with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 anyway? What can we expect? The latest phone we saw from Samsung in the Note series was the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note FE. Which isn’t actually that new other than having an updated safer battery. After the Galaxy Note 7 battery issue that made Samsung haven’t to stop selling the Note 7 they made a massive loss of money. And they suddenly had a bunch of spare Note 7 parts they couldn’t sell! So they created the Note FE.

But what about the Note 8? What is different if we compare the Note 8 vs. Note FE? Let’s see what the rumors are saying.

The first thing that is different is that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have a 6.3″ display vs. Note FE’s 5.7″ display. They both have very similar ppi pixel density over 500+. And they both have Gorilla Glass 5 screen protection. The Note 8 is rumored to have 6GB of ram instead of Note FE’s 4GB ram. So 2GB higher! Also the Note 8 is expected to have a 8MP front facing camera which is better than Note FE that only has 5MP. Note 8 is expected to have 3300mAh battery so 100mAh higher than Note FE. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 had 3500mAh.

But the biggest difference of all is of course the price where the new Note 8 will cost around 30% higher than the Note FE. Will it really be worth it? We had some rumors that maybe we would see a 256GB Note 8 but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore! The max seems to be 128GB Internal of storage with 6GB of ram.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have 1 big difference that can make it worth the upgrade from the Note FE. And that is a brand new dual-camera setup with OIS. One thing that will keep be annoying on the Note 8 is the placement of the fingerprint sensor. Which is still located at the side of the camera. On the Galaxy S8 it is also and it’s very hard to unlock without getting errors. Because you misplace your finger.

What is the solution on the fingerprint placement problem for Samsung? The solution is in the Galaxy S9 put it below the camera! Just as the Huawei Mate 9 and the LG G6 is doing! Much better placement. And it always works as it should. Actually Mate 9 is a bit sharper than G6 because the fingerprint sensor points in a bit. Kinda like a golf sand wedge! Or maybe not really..

So will the Note 8 truly be worth it’s price or will it be better to pick up a Note FE? We have to wait and see. Samsung is expected to announce the Note 8 at it’s Unpacked event in New York City on August 23. LG will also be ready to bring out a new sharp phone in August called the LG V30. So these next couple of months will be very exciting. We also have the new Sony Xperia XZ1 that just recently got leaked. And soon the iPhone 8 that also will be announced in the upcoming months.

In short, this is a bad time to buy a phone! Sell your old one fast and get ready for the new stuff.

But wait a second doesn’t Samsung already have a phone that kinda reminds about the Note 8 already? Yes they do and it’s called the S8+. The S8+ features a 6.2″ display and seems like the Note 8 will use the same CPU as that one, Exynos 8895 Octa-core. But the big difference will be that the S8+ is big but doesn’t have an S-Pen! The S8+ also do not have a dual-camera. But it’s interesting how the S8+ features a 3500mAh battery and the new Note 8 may only get a 3300mAh.

Which of course is a bit sad. Samsung has been a bit confusing this year with how many products they have been releasing. For example the new J5 that many times felt more premium than the new A5 2017. But the J5 was cheaper and featured a more updated Samsung UX! Which was very confusing for Samsung customers.

I am still very excited for the Galaxy Note 8 launch. Last year I was just about to buy the Note 7 but then they cancelled the device! They never released a Note 6 named phone which was confusing. But a Note 5 phone which I picked up and with just a 1 meter drop the back glass got smashed.. Which is a big problem with new Samsung devices. Stop using glass on the back! Apple learned their lesson and stopped using glass on back 2012 with the iPhone 5. Oh the nightmares with the broken glass on iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S…

One main thing I hope with the Note 8 is that they try to make something special with the UI. To make the Note series stand out from the Galaxy series. Maybe more S-Pen features. Or just an improved S-Pen in general. I’m disappointed other companies haven’t tried to bring out a cool Stylus phone. Apple should do it! LG should do it! Sony should do it! I love the stylus!

Also not all Samsung Galaxy Note 8’s will be using Exynos 8895. But in other regions it will be using Snapdragon 835. Just as we saw with Galaxy S8. It is also the same processor as the brand new OnePlus 5 is using. It’s probably going to be running Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Google is working on their new Android OS called Android O. But the Note 8 will probably not come shipped with that. Hopefully you will be able to buy the Note 8 already in September. Samsung usually seems to make a phone available in around a month after the announcement.

Any phone you want me to compare it too? iPhone 7 Plus probably! Apple please do a stylus phone. It will be a success! Steve Jobs never liked the stylus and yes with Windows Mobile it was kind of lame. But Samsung 2011 with the original Galaxy Note actually made a huge success with bringing back the stylus and making it cool again.

Thanks for reading!

Adrian

Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 – Review

Audio Version:

The new Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 Edition I really do enjoy because of it’s premium build quality. The aluminium unibody is really a nice step up from the boring plastic feel from Galaxy J5 2016. This new model feels more like Samsung’s A5 series. Which always has been a bit more premium feel segment.

The last year’s A5 was kinda in a bad shape I think. I hated the glass back, Samsung still have glass back on the new 2017 edition but it is way more smooth rounded on A5 this year. Which makes it feel better.

But the new J5’s aluminium unibody feels even better! And it’s the perfect material if you would drop the device by accident. Because there is no glass back that would break as with the A5 series.

This phone comes packed with the latest Samsung UX, and Android 7.0. Which means it has some UI features designed the same way as the high-end Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Plus. The display is fairly large at 5.2″ with 720p Super AMOLED Screen. I’m not sure if I enjoy that. Even the cheaper phones constantly getting bigger. I would like to see more phones at 4.3″ again as the Galaxy S2 had.

The J5 has a fingerprint reader and Samsung Pay. The chipset is also good; Exynos 7870, 14nm: octa-core 1.6GHz Cortex-A53 CPU. The GPU is Mali-T830MP2. The Mali GPU performs well with Android’s GTA games. The camera is primary 13MP and a secondary 13MP as well. And Samsung is delivering good quality with the camera!

There are some bad things you still have the old microUSB port so it charges slower. And no Always-on Display feature, the A5 series have Always-on Display. And some people think 16GB is too low these days.

But then again this device is a mid-range smartphone. And of course you cannot remove the battery. The good old days with that feature with Samsung phones is more disappearing. You also don’t get a notification LED for new messages.

How does this phone compare to other popular phones? I have done some videos like Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 vs. Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 and there is very little difference between them. A5 Glass Back, J5 Aluminium. A5 IP68 Water and Dust resistant, J5 no IP-rating! A5 Always-on Display so you can see notifications even when the display is turned off, J5 no feature like that so you have to wake up the device old school way.

Is there any good cases available for the J5 2017 edition? Yes in fact Spigen premium case maker have made two nice cases. One is called Liquid Crystal. This case is a see through case. If you want a clarity case. If you want a case with better grip they have also released a case called Liquid Air Armor which is using a premium TPU layer.

How does the J5 compare against Samsung Galaxy S8? S8 got 570 ppi pixel density, almost double the J5’s 282 ppi. S8 is using Exynos 8895 and it’s Geekbench score is 6375 in multi-core. The J5 global is getting 3766 in multi-core. So the S8 is around double in terms of processor speed. S8 will come with Samsung DeX (desktop experience support). You need to buy a external gadget for around 100 euro to get DeX. It will turn your phone a bit into a laptop by using a bigger display. S8 also has faster battery charging (Quick Charge 2.0 with Type-C 1.0).

Then S8 has IP68 certification just as the A5 series. One of the big difference is how S8 comes with 64GB internal storage and 4GB ram. The only J5 2017 that comes close is the J5 Pro which has 3GB ram and 32GB storage. But the standard J5 the global edition comes with only 16GB of storage and 2GB of ram. So you will only be able to install a couple of high-end games like GTA San Andreas.

S8 also has a more beautiful edge-to-edge display and slimmer in width which gives it a more premium feel. But it also has a badly placed fingerprint sensor on the back which many times won’t recognise your finger. Or it can be hard to reach it. With the J5 the fingerprint reader is on the front so easier to get it right the first time.

It is also true that the Galaxy S8 has 4K video recording capabilities and some other features. But really who records video in 4K that much? The J5 can record in Full HD. The S8 cost almost 3-4x as much depending on the region you live in. Is it really worth it? The J5 is a great deal for the price it cost. I’m glad Samsung has brought out such a premium device at such an amazing price range.

It is even cheaper than when Samsung released the Galaxy S4 Mini for around 350 euro a couple of years back.

In terms of build quality as you can see my Galaxy S8 from a drop test the glass got shattered very badly. If it would have been a drop test with the J5 the back wouldn’t have gotten destroyed. So you even get a overall better build quality on the J5 it’s amazing. The S8 features Gorilla Glass 5 on front that might be stronger than the J5’s front. But if you buy a screen protector for J5 you can get decent protection fast.

Overall there is very little to complain about with this phone. I just want to say that Samsung did a really good job here. And I hope it won’t start to lag 6 months in. As Samsung’s Galaxy S6 lineup has suffered lot’s of problems with software that is slow.

Even my S8’s software is pretty badly optimised and I can detect lag in the photo gallery app. I hope Samsung works out their hardware and software failures which happens from time to time. Like with the Note 7 fiasco.

Best Regards,

Adrian
