Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is a new cool smartphone from this popular chinese phone brand. It comes with the regular design that reminds us about an iPhone.
First it has: 5.5″ FHD IPS 1080p 403ppi display, facial-recognition (Major hit on iPhone X and Galaxy S8), 6GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, Snapdragon 660 Octa-core processor, Adreno 512 at 650MHz GPU, 4G, 3500mAh battery, Multi-functional NFC, 7 series aluminium alloy metal frame, 4-sided curved glass body, IR blaster, 16MP AI beautify camera, Stereo speakers and Reading mode display.
Probably the first thing you will notice with Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is how it has super narrow bezels. Dual camera solution just as iPhone X and Note 8. It’s also super slim.
The camera more in depth is: 12MP wide angle + 12MP telephoto, 2x Optical zoom, 4-axis OIS, optimized low-light photography, portrait mode and creamy DSLR-level bokeh effect.
Mi Note 3 is a large phone. Xiaomi Mi6 is 5.15″ in display size and Note 3 5.5″ so it’s bigger in display and also in form factor. But it looks still very identical in design to Mi6.
The glass back cover can become a problem. iPhone X glass back will probably need a case. Same for Note 8’s glass back because of it’s larger size the impact would be much heavier and may break the glass. This is something you need to consider when buying a glass back phone. It may break, or maybe better worded: There is a high chance it will break compared to plastic or aluminium back!
It doesn’t state but it’s probably running on Android 7.0 Nougat. It comes with MIUI 8 which is Xiaomi’s custom skin. You can also expand the storage with external TF card up to 128GB.
The front facing camera on Xiaomi Mi Note 3 has a high 16MP sensor but doesn’t state the deeper specs on it. 4K video recording on rear is in 30fps. But slow motion is available in 720p at 120fps. Latest bluetooth 5.0 is on-board!
Fingerprint sensor is on as well something that’s standard on most Android devices these days. USB Type C fast charge. 163 grams in weight so not too heavy. It doesn’t have a 3.5mm earphone jack but you get a Type-C to Audio cable with the phone. Never understood how it makes a phone better having to use adapters for basic things like sound.
