Earth HD Deluxe Edition Samsung Galaxy S8 Android App Review!

Audio Version:

Today I want to write a review on an Android app called Earth HD Deluxe Edition. It will display the earth on your Android phone! Either on the lock screen of the device or just as a wallpaper. Depending on what phone you have.

When you swipe across the Home screen or Up/Down the Earth will start to spin around and move.

Inside the settings you can tweak many things. For example you can change the camera mode to Linear, Orbit, Fixed or Free.

With Orbit it only goes to the side not Up and Down.

With Fixed the earth still spins but it doesn’t move around more when you swipe your fingers on the screen.

You can also rotate the camera and have it slowly rotate around the earth. And you can select the speed on that option. You can also position the earth at the center if you want or any other custom position. They have added some cool theme’s you can switch between. Classic, Realistic, Future, Post-apocalyptic and Frozen earth!

To be honest I loved the classic the most. And then the Frozen Earth. Post-apocalyptic looked depressing. Realistic is a bit warmer in colors but reminds about classic. But I enjoy the classic more for it’s lighter softer colors. The texture I wish it could be a little bit higher graphics when you have camera distance normal or closer. A “little further” mode looks great. But would be amazing if higher textures was available for the closeups. Maybe in a few years with the Samsung Galaxy S9!

You can also switch the earth’s rotation speed. I think that with slow speed here it looks more realistic and makes you calm and peaceful when looking at. Here is the most amazing part with this app! It allows you to focus on satellites and still have the beautiful earth in the background! So you have two options here. Either Satellite Space Station V or Space Station V-II.

Both are super beautiful but I like the first one the most. It is a little bit smaller! And has cool rings! You can also add a realistic earth position. That will line it up depending on the current date. And you also have the option to add the moon!

If you feel the need to save battery life then you can change the FPS speed of this live wallpaper. FPS limit options are: 5 FPS, 15 FPS, 30 FPS, 60 FPS and Maximum!

Overall I really love this app a great developer with tons of other amazing apps. I checked out their Solar System HD Deluxe Live Wallpaper. Which is a mind-blowing app as well. Especially if you want more planets and Starfields to see and choose from!

Let me know in the comment section down below if you want me to check out another cool app that you know about!

Other apps from same developer are Into the Void, Zombie City Defense, Deep Galaxies HD, Snow HD Deluxe. I’m sure that I am going to check out many of them in the future. Because of the quality put into the apps.

While using this app on Samsung Galaxy S8 you may want to disable Bixby that’s available on home screen if you scroll a lot to the left side. Because that can get annoying. To disable Bixby hold in on an empty area of your home screen and go to the left and in the corner you can turn off the Bixby page.

Something that also is super cool with this app is how the earth is 50% dark so very realistic when you spin it around. If you spin to the dark side then you will be able to see the sun from far away. With it’s amazing sunlight it looks very realistic.

You can also see on the dark side of the earth some places where there is still light going on. As you know with large cities they have lots of lamps so you can see it from space! How magical effect it creates!

If you have the earth enabled to move when you swipe up then it will move when you enter the app drawer on the S8 which has the shortcut of swiping up on the home screen. It’s interesting because even inside the app drawer if you swipe the earth will still move. If you swipe on the lock screen then it doesn’t seem to move.

With the Solar System live wallpaper app from same developer that app was using your gyroscope to move things around while moving the phone. This app does not have that gyroscope support.

How could this app be improved if we play with that idea? Well first I think in it’s themes I see ton’s of potential over there. With adding maybe 30 cool themes in various colors and effects it would be extremely interesting. Because people truly love special premium themes that nobody else is using. Also to be able to maybe have more satellites would be extremely interesting.

Maybe be able to see an Elon Musk Mars spaceship, That would be so epic! Or see astronauts in space working on a space platform! There are many ideas and things you can do here. But I also believe that the live wallpaper is a bit limited by Android OS in what you can do more in depth.

But I am impressed with the latest versions of Android it’s premium speed. When the first iPhone came out in 2007 it was truly amazing and Android was a joke. Android was still a joke 2010 but with dual-core processors by 2011 thing’s started to shift and Android became interesting.

And finally these days to be able to use live wallpapers like this is perfect! Something that Apple gadgets cannot use if they don’t jailbreak.

It becomes clear to me that in the future we will be able to do even more amazing customize options with our phones. To make them truly stand out. This is the power of Android.

Thanks for reading!

Nexomon iPhone 7 Plus Game Review!

Audio Version:

So there is a new game out which cost around €3-5 euro. It’s called Nexomon! It kind of reminds about a Pokemon game. You are this character running around and captures different Nexomon animals. You follow a story mode sort of like Final Fantasy. You fight in battles to capture new nexomons. And then you can heal your nexomons using items.

You have to be into journey games to play this because there are many menus of storytelling you can’t skip. You have something they call the Nexopad with a collection of 300 nexomons you can capture and find inside the game. The nexomons at the beginning of the game are usually hiding in the grass. You can see it moving!

The game has very nice cartoon graphics and audio. When you win a battle against another nexomon you gain experience and coins. With this you level up your own nexomons.

As a new player you are being called a tamer and get told it’s dangerous to walk outside town. You can talk with various people on your journey around the game. Sometimes you get rewards from these people like 300 coins. Sometimes they even challenge you to a nexomon battle.

When you are in battle you will loose health and stamina when you get attacked. But you can fill it up again with items in your bag. Like potions and ether. You have 4 different skills you can attack with. When you are new in the game only 3 is available and sometimes 2.

Sometimes when you attack certain nexomons you will *miss*. Because that nexomon has protection against that attack, you will have to use another. And sometimes when you win versus one nexomon they might have another one show up! Because in a battle you can use multiple nexomons if you have. You usually gain more experience the more you win. And coins.

And when you level up your HP, Stamina, Attack, Defence and Speed goes up! Sometimes you will see dramatic scenes in the game like a house damaged. And dramatic story music. Which shows that it’s a quality game trying to make the storyline more engaging.

Sometimes you will be rewarded a NexoBox. In those you will find a rare nexomon. After you open it you can add the nexomon to your party. And it will join you in future battles. You have different houses where you have nexobox storages. In here you can deposit nexomons or withdraw them. You also have nexostores in many cities where you can by nexoproducts. Things as nexotrap, potion, ether, elixir, anti burn, anti poison, anti freeze, anti paralyze, anti bind, anti sleep & anti confusion. You use the coins to buy, coins you gain from winning battles against nexomons.

Sometimes you get to hear secrets or tricks from talking to random people. Like the coolest nexomon is in the eastern cave!

One of the first story modes is you have to go to a bodybuilder called Ivan to find more information about a nexolord. The most powerful tamer of nexomons. You get to learn about champions after you beat Ivan. Which are the inner circle of a nexolord. Ivan was just an overseer.

You have different environments you play this game in sometimes you explore a cave and harder enemies. Then you have to go back and level up your nexomons by going into easier battles to win easier experience and coins. It seems like you can have up to 6 nexomons in your party.

And yes the game has premium shop for in-app purchase but it doesn’t feel as spammy as for example’s EA’s games. First you can buy for real money Diamond currency, NexoTraps, Avatars, Pets & Other Items. You can also open up golden nexobox or standard for diamonds to receive super rare nexomon.

In the nexopad profile you can see your tamer name, play time, coins, diamonds, nexomonds found, support code. You can also see your avatar and change it’s design.

The 3 games this reminds me about is Pokemon GO, Final Fantasy 3 and Lego Rock Raiders. I can see myself play it for long hours. The nice graphics and smooth gameplay on iPhone 7 makes it interesting. The fast talking menu’s are also very enjoyable.

One thing that can be a little bit annoying in a game like this is too many battles and leveling up. It can become very repetitive. And if you are stuck in a cave and need to get out you can have annoying enemies popup in your path.

The game also has some special features like iCloud support for backup data on all devices to play both iPhone, iPod and iPad support! You can get exclusive nexomon iMessage stickers. 8 legendary nexomons. 9 different colorful and vibrant regions. 100% animated monsters for enjoying battles. High quality gaming experience!

The overseers in the game guard cities and various places. They have tamers below them that wanna engage in quick battles. To one time themselves maybe become an overseer.

What happens when your party loses and all your nexomons have a health of zero is it becomes game over. From this menu you can either load checkpoint or load game. While you play the game you have the option to go in and save/load.

Be sure that you level up your nexomons a lot in easy battles first before you go into a dangerous cave or on an adventure. So you are ready for the higher level battles. If not then you might have to restart from far away back in the game. So remember to save and plan your trips for optimal gaming experience.

In harder areas of the game you usually become attacked or meet challenges just by walking on the standard path. But in the more safer area you only get attacked while you are in the grass. And the easier place have mostly one nexomon in battle. So you only have to defeat 1 to win! But in harder areas there can be up to 6 nexomons in one battle!

Whenever you want to capture a new nexomon in battle you click on the red and grey nexotrap at the bottom center of the screen! You have to buy these from the nexostore. If you weaken the enemy a bit first I’m sure it will be easier to capture him and add him into your collection. A quick look at your opponent right side of the screen will display under his health bar if he is a common nexomon or a rare nexomon!

Another link to Nexomon if you wanna check it out for iOS devices!

Overall I really enjoy this game. This is a story game where you get so much value. So even when it’s a paid app with some in-app purchase options it’s highly enjoyable and worth it. Let me know if you find out about any other quality games you want me to check out!

Samsung Galaxy S8 vs. iPhone 8 Potential Specs!

Audio Version:

So iPhone 8 will be unveiled soon by Apple.

So how does it stack up versus the Samsung Galaxy S8? So I’ve been using the Galaxy S8 for quite some time now as my main phone so I have a pretty good idea how it overall is.

So firstly the Apple iPhone 8 is rumored to come with a borderless Display. A display that might even go full up to the top and bottom of the phone! So Samsung already have a bezel less display when it comes to the sides. But the Galaxy S8 still doesn’t have a full bezel less display on the front. The AMOLED display doesn’t go fully up all the way to the top or bottom. The iPhone 8 might then have less bezel than Galaxy S8.

OLED Finally!

Second thing is how it’s rumored that iPhone 8 will switch to an OLED display away from LCD they been using on previous iPhones. As we know Samsung has been using an amazing AMOLED display for many years! Displays that offers way more vibrant exciting colors especially for looking at photos or video. It’s not that the current iPhone 7 display is super bad. But I really believe Apple will be able to compete better against Samsung with an OLED display. Attracting some Samsung customers maybe even.

The iPhone 8 looks like it will finally get facial recognition! They may call it Face ID. I use this feature already on my S8 and love it. It works almost every time in standard light. But in darkness many times it doesn’t work. But. There is a big bad thing with the iPhone 8.

And that is it may remove the fingerprint sensor that they call Touch ID. Which is a bad thing! I wouldn’t wanna live with a phone that doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. Because it’s one of the better ways to unlock a phone safe and always works with the right finger.

The face unlock may not work sometimes for me on Galaxy S8 so then I quickly use the fingerprint sensor. But if the iPhone 8 won’t have that then you will have to type the password using the keyboard when Face ID doesn’t work! How annoying.

Samsung’s camera’s are Awesome!

We also have some rumors that the iPhone 8 camera will be able to record in 4K 60fps maybe on both rear and front camera! Which is insane. It will sure take up lots of space in your phone. I have always found the iPhone cameras inferior to Samsung’s main cameras. At least since the Galaxy S3. Samsung seems to know what they are doing in that area.

My iPhone 7 camera has horrible field of view and blurry photos while zoom in vs. Samsung’s high quality camera sensor. Maybe it’s just me. But I don’t think so. Samsung does a really good job on hardware area! More less good on software optimisation…

We also have rumor about iPhone 8 that it will support wireless charging. Which of course is interesting for Apple fans. But the charger will probably cost €149 if I know Apple correct..

Now Samsung has been having wireless charging for years. But I don’t think it’s in widespread use. Because wireless charging usually charges slower. So it sort of becomes no point doing it for most. Some wireless chargers takes hours to charge your device! Which is boring.

Traffic Light iPhone!

The iPhone 8 is also probably going to feature a traffic light camera! It looks really stupid to be honest. And it will add weird weight on one side of the phone. They should remove the camera bump all together!

Samsung’s Galaxy S8 has a camera but it doesn’t stick out! So why does Apple’s have to do it? I think Apple has become a bit lazy after Steve Jobs passed away. Steve Jobs had so amazing visions but when the founder goes away usually it becomes more about the money and less about doing creative amazing solutions. This traffic light is just an annoying design!

Seems like Apple will go back to an all glass design. Which is bad. We already know about the broken glass on iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. And Samsung is also using glass back mine got smashed fast. It’s annoying. But I’m sure the companies do it just for the money. That they want your device to get broken. Because with glass what happens is you have to replace the whole back.

We are expecting to see three new iPhone 8 variants. One with OLED display the other two with standard LCD display. Galaxy S8 variants is available in S8 and S8+ variant and both feature same AMOLED display. The bad part here is the OLED iPhone 8 will probably be super expensive. So many will go with the standard editions.

Water Resistant (Hopefully Improvement over iPhone 7!)

I really hope the iPhone 8 has IP68 water resistant certification the IP-rating the iPhone 7 had was bad. I got two of them and they became unusable after Coca-Cola and water tests. They really must do a better job with the iPhone 8. The interesting part is how the new iPhone seems like it will be around same size as 4.7″ iPhone 7 but with a display of 5.5″ iPhone 7! Which is amazing. Because the iPhone 7 5.5″ really is too big. Feels like an elephant!

In processor we are going to get a brand new A11 chipset. Which I’m sure will perform well against Samsung’s Snapdragon 835/Exynos 8895 setup. Samsung also has amazing performance but the problem with Android is game and app optimisation usually is worse than Apple’s locked iOS system. Usually Apple optimise stuff better with using better software and optimising it.

Expensive oh no!

The iPhone 8 OLED variant is rumored to be costing around $1,000 which is laughable and so expensive. But then again people gonna pay…

From what I have seen on mockup photos of the new glass iPhone 8 it does remind me about the iPhone 3GS but less rounded. Which is funny. Feels like we are going back in time. Hopefully the device will be a bit slimmer but don’t hope for a major change compared to iPhone 7! I hope the iPhone 8 can be as thin and same width or smaller as the standard Galaxy S8. Because then it will feel a bit premium.

We are going to have to wait and see. Apple is expected to announce the 3 new iPhone models at a September event. So stay tuned for that.

Thanks for reading!

Adrian

Top 10 Phones I Can’t Afford But Love

Today I quickly wanna go over some phones I don’t have now in my phone library but I wished I had! Some are pretty expensive as of this writing August 2017. But many beautiful phones in this list from good brands.

Audio Version:

#1 Xiaomi Mi MIX

Xiaomi Mi MIX is an amazing phone when it comes to design. It features and edge-to-edge display that fully goes up to the top of the device. This makes it stand out from many other phones. We do have a rumor that the iPhone 8 will also go up to the top which would be amazing. The battery size this phone packs is 4400mAh which sounds extremely good when other phones only has around 3000mAh.

But then again it is probably a big battery drain display with it’s huge 6.4″ size. If features snapdragon 821 which is not that impressive when the Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with snapdragon 835. But I would still love to test this device out. Because of the quality Xiaomi put’s into their products. I really loved their Xiaomi Mi Max phone! The Xiaomi Mi MIX is available here.

#2 Samsung Galaxy Note FE

The new Samsung Galaxy Note FE is made up from parts of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which Samsung’s stopped selling because of battery issues. It has 3200mAh instead of 3500mAh that the Galaxy Note 7 had.

But otherwise most of the specs seems to be the same. I never got an opportunity to test out the Note 7. So this device would be fun to test out! I am a big lover of Samsung’s Note series. I was one of the first to adopt their first Note phone in the end of 2011. Here is my unboxing of that device. The original Note’s problem was how it was too wide. So very hard to hold. But it for sure stood out! And I really loved it.

Stylus is awesome!

I can’t still wrap my head around why not more companies tries to implement a pen in their huge phone. The S-Pen is truly a unique feature. The stylus phone people really loved that unique feature. It stands out. And the pen has been improved a lot over the years.

#3 Nokia 6

The Nokia brand is making a comeback with HMD Global. Phones under the Nokia brand has usually had an amazing quality. I have done an unboxing on the Nokia 3 which I really enjoyed when it came to hardware quality. I bet that this larger Nokia 6 branded phone is even better. I will try to get it when I can afford it. I do wish that HMD worked a bit harder to create a more unique Android software feel. To make themselves stand out from the masses. The Nokia 3 mostly had just a standard Android experience. I want them to try to be more original.

#4 Zenfone AR

I have had a good experience with previous ASUS phones. For example I truly love the Zenfone 3, both the software which stands out in the Android world. But also the attention to design and beauty. With it’s amazing glass back. Same as I had an amazing experience with the Zenfone 3 Max phone. Which featured a matte back. ASUS has an amazing way to design creative phone designs. This Zenfone AR has a superb design on the back. And I’m sure it delivers a perfect overall phone experience.

#5 Sony Xperia XZ Premium

So I am very impressed with Sony’s comeback! The comeback started with the Sony Xperia XZ. Amazing new design! My favorite Sony design so far. Now they have released a bigger model which should be even more impressive. Sony has an impressive smooth software that I never had any lag problems with. And the battery optimize features are great as well. I am going to try to save up money so I can review the Sony Xperia XZ Premium but go watch my XZ videos on YouTube if you wanna see more with the smaller variant.

#6 HTC U11

So HTC has released the new U11 with a cool unique back! I really loved the HTC 10 but I felt it lacked something. I’m sure this one is way more cool. I have a good feel about this device. I also like HTC unique apps how they try to do their own thing. A bit like Samsung. HTC U11 is available here.

#7 OnePlus 5

So OnePlus has made a new device that kinda looks like an iPhone 7/iPhone 6. But I like it! I have reviewed the OnePlus 3 and 3T and with them I really enjoyed the fast UI and it’s extra features implemented. It has nice color theme that is kind to your eyes. I am sure this device will deliver good results as well. With it’s dual camera lens. Good thing with this phone is it features the brand new Snapdragon 835 which is same processor that Galaxy S8 is using! So real specs. Running with the same Adreno 540 GPU and latest Android 7.0. The OnePlus 5 is available here.

#8 OPPO R9 Plus

It was a long time ago I checked out an Oppo device. But they have been keeping up with making amazing new designs. That reminds us about the iPhone 7 design! But with Android of course. This phone features a massive 6″ display with a 4120mAh battery. The processor is a more humble one a Snapdragon 652 with Adreno 510 GPU. But it looks so slim and beautiful that I truly wanna test out how this device runs! OPPO has been busy producing many more other cool phones as well. Some new phones they even call “Selfie Experts”! This OPPO R9 Plus is available here.

#9 Zenfone 3 Zoom

Another cool phone from ASUS. This one is especially cool because how big battery it packs in a slim phone design. 5000mAh! It does pack a shy Snapdragon 625 processor which I’m not sure how it will perform. But camera’s seems to be decent with a Dual 12MP rear and a front 13MP camera. It also come’s with SonicMaster which is suppose to enhance the audio. This phone is available here. And I will buy it when I can afford it! To compare it against the Zenfone 3 and the Zenfone 3 Max.

#10 Xiaomi Mi6

I have a had pretty good experience with Xiaomi except with the Mi5 where the battery turned faulty. But again remember that I usually don’t use my phones a lot so that could probably have made the battery worse. This new phone from Xiaomi looks really great. I really enjoyed their Mi Note. Seems like it’s splash resistant. Pretty small display in today’s 2017 standards only 5.15″ big. But comes packed with amazing Snapdragon 835 so should be amazing phone performance. The Mi6 is available here.

Hopefully you enjoyed this quick blog post one some phones I can’t afford at this moment but may pick up in the future. It also gives you a quick idea of potenial phones you might be interested in getting.

Best Regards,

Adrian

4 Amazing Apps For Productivity and The Importance of Habits!

Today I want to talk a little bit about keeping track of habits. Some app’s that I use that are extremely helpful on Android when you do this.

So the first app is called: Goal Tracker & Habit List. This is an extremely good app to quickly write in a ton of habits and keep track of your current streak with a monthly calendar built in.

The second app I find extremely useful is called aTimeLogger. This app will help you keep track of how long you have been doing a certain task. And the good thing is you can have multiple time loggers going on at the same time. As well as adding a bunch of new things you wanna track. With a built in custom colour and icons available for free.

The third app that can be good to quickly get your ideas down on paper if you hate writing is a free app called Speechnotes. This app will record your voice in english and try to translate it in realtime as you speak. I think it does a pretty damn good job at it. It does make a lot of mistakes but sometimes also amazingly good translation.

I also use a 4th app which is extremely useful to get most of your ideas down in text and it’s called ColorNote. You can easily create fast notes and sync them online and you can create notes in various colours to keep track of certain topics. Very easy to use and friendly app.

One extremely good thing I have noticed in my life in how you can organise your habit life is that you first identify in a list which habits are the most important first that you should get control over. And then when you know the key habit you need to work on then just focus in on that until you have got it under control. Now you have an habit order you can work on.

Develop Chain Strong Habits!

I have noticed when I try to start multiple new habits at the same time I always end up failing. But if I just focus on get 1 habit down for 2-3 months until it’s extremely strong then I can keep it. And I can then start to work on my 2nd most important habit in my life that will produce a big shift for me.

What habits that are most important for you to get down is of course very individual. People struggle with different things in their lives. Also you have to find out what sort of life you want, what you feel is your true calling and try to move towards that. Creating a new strong habit people usually think that they can do it for a few weeks then it will be strong. More realistic it will probably take a few months to make it strong. If you work on it daily.

Habits aren’t really hard to do once you get into a routine. But when you start maybe you will be able to identify other things that stops you in your current path. You will bump into different walls when you are trying to do stuff in life. Maybe you thought 1 key habit you have to get down first. But a few weeks in you notice and detect another more important habit that you need to fix first.

Set High Goals!

And then here comes a very important point where you have to ask yourself if you are willing to make the sacrifice to take time to implement these new habits into your life. This has a lot to do with discipline, self-mastery and self-control. Many times people really don’t see the massive reward to go through all of this to maybe get a 10% better life.

But why not fix a vision that is exciting? A goal that is 10X higher than you have previously thought of? Many people make the mistake of making low goals and actually get them. Instead of aiming super high and maybe you don’t get there but with a high goal at least you will probably get further than a smaller goal. And a smaller goal is not that exciting to chase and create solid habits with. Not that motivating.

It’s a Marathon Not A Sprint!

I have worked out my own purpose what I wanna do in life and I constantly most days go over it again to see if there is something that I wanna tweak in my life purpose. It gives me a direction and I’m not that interested in what happens next week or next month I try to aim in for goals where I try to set them where I can be in 10 or 15 years with solid steady habits that you keep on doing for the rest of your life.

Especially when you have found the golden habits that works for you. For example people learn in different ways, some people learn by reading, watching, audio or writing down. You have to find what is most effective for you. I have found writing to be my most effective one. When I write I remember myself about the new lesson.

Never Ending Abundance Like A Waterfall!

And I also believe in abundance so when I put something out into the universe a new better idea will soon follow. Because I have made my brain empty of ideas. And it will try to make the ideas more solid. I also believe that you have to share in life. We are not independent islands we humans. We are all connected and we all affect each other with everything we do. We become what we consume and the people we surround ourself with.

A funny thing I read about the brain is that it cannot tell the difference between reality and imagined stuff. So if you read let’s say a book about the roman empire your brain can’t tell if you have experienced that in real life or if you are just in your bed reading a bed time book.

I wanna finish this blog post off with a great quote from a great book I really enjoy from a very successful man called Napoleon Hill. In his book The Law of success he said this:

Have a great day!

Adrian
