Today I want to check out another Android live wallpaper. It’s called Falling Money 3D Live Wallpaper. It will make it rain down money bills on your home screen and lock screen. In the free app you only get dollar bills. But if you upgrade the app to full version then you could get other currencies like euro.
You can add a custom background if you like. The default one is black. But you can also select a background from your gallery in your phone. The kind of falling banknotes you can have in full version is: Dollars, Rubles, Nigerian Nairas, Euros, Dirchams UAE, Australian dollars, Belarussian rubles, Canadian dollars, Swiss franks, Yuan, Pounds, Rupees, Yen, Kuwaiti Dinars, Tenge, Swedish Kronas, Turkish Liras and Hryvnia.
You can also go in and select the money amount: 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 100, 200 and 400. The other three setting you can tweak is Money Size, Falling speed and Whirling speed. You can also go in and select the banknotes value: All, By battery level, Small, Medium, High, Small and medium, Small and high & Medium and high.
You can also go in and tweak the Falling mode: Continuous will make so the money disappears and keep falling down. Interval (Need full version), Shadows, Touching and Deflation on shake.
When you swipe across the screen you can have so money falls away and when you shake you can also have so money falls away from the screen. And then there is an option for Quick settings by just doing a double tap.
In full version of the app you can also tweak the screen updating frequency and the textures quality. And full version will remove some minor ads you see in free version. Overall I really enjoy the quality of this live wallpaper app. Especially when it’s a free app to download you can’t expect too much. But this one gives you a lot even when it’s free. And if you want your custom currency that option is also available. Hopefully your currency exist inside the app!
The app wallpaper runs well on Samsung Galaxy S8 and I’m curious if it will run fast on older Android phones. You can test it out for yourself!
Inside of settings you can first select the shape: Spherical Nebula, Flat Nebula, Evaporating Nebula, Quasar, Hand of God, Spiral Galaxy and Through Nebula.
With the Spherical everything moves around in calm circles. In a vibrant galaxy.
Flat Nebula everything is more flat and focused at the center of the screen.
The Evaporating has an extremely cool effect where everything goes from the center to the sides of the phone. Kind of like an explosion. But in a slower way.
Quasar everything is moving around in circles with a thick galaxy line in the middle.
With the Hand of God you can literally see a hand inside the galaxy. Blue coloured. But I’m sure you can change the colour.
Spiral everything also goes in circles but without the thick galaxy line.
Through Nebula you basically feel like you are travelling forward!
Also what could be good to know that just as with the Solar System HD live wallpaper this app is using your gyroscope to move the galaxy while you hold you phone in the hand. This app runs perfect on my Samsung Galaxy S8! My favourite shape is Hand of God and Through Nebula.
The second option you have available is to go in and change color. You have these options available: Firestorm, Frozen, Golden, Flesh, Oasis, Kissel, Ice and Fire, Bronze, Blue Kissel and Mixed.
Firestorm gives you two colors mixed red and green.
The Frozen looks as it’s name applies, cold! It has purple and blue colour beautifully mixed together.
Golden has yellow and almost a red/brown colour. But looks very gold and yellow overall.
Flesh is a very interesting one it mixes pink/white and a low key green and low key orange colour to create this overall special colour effect.
Oasis colour mixes green and orange.
Kissel is for the pink and purple lovers.
Ice and Fire is one of my favourites it mixes red and blue to create this magical effect.
Bronze is mostly green and a low key yellow colour.
Blue Kissel has a light blue and pink colour effect. Mixed has almost all colors, but little green.
Second tweak you can do is change the state: Calm, Normal and Boiling. Normal and Calm I cant see massive difference between but the boiling for sure speed things up!
Second massive colour change you can do is on the background. So the first effect was mainly on the galaxies. But this one affects the background. These effects are available for the background: Stars, Deep Blue, Blue, Deep Red, Red, Deep Purple, Deep Green, Green and Black.
Stars is easy it just shows stars in the background, tiny ones.
Deep blue is truly deep in colour. Not super strong. The standard blue is way more intense.
Deep red same with that. The standard red is truly red. I love the red colour. Makes the whole phone look zombie possessed.
Deep Purple and Deep Green same here just a very deep low key colour in the background.
Normal green is magical too. Makes the phone look like vibrant grass or like a broccoli/spinach meal you just wanna eat. I wish they had normal pink also. But only deep pink available.
Then you can select the density level. I’m not quite sure what this tweaks does because I can’t see a difference. You can also disable space dust. Which is tiny traveling stars.
You can also go in and change the focus distance and distance, the sensitivity on gyroscope and the movement radius. If you need even more performance then you can go in and limit the FPS. The standard is set to 60 FPS on Galaxy S8. But can be lowered to 5 FPS. 5 FPS looks very laggy. There is no option to select low resolution textures.
Overall this is a very nice app if you like space and want a cool live wallpaper. And there is great chance it will run well even on lower end devices. Because I tried out the same developers Solar System HD app on Samsung Galaxy S2 which is from 2011 and it ran amazing on that phone. So you can get great performance on older devices.
I’m not sure what can be improved with this app it satisfies most of my needs. Especially when it comes to the smooth performance. It would be cool to see something like this on the new iPhone 8 but of course it will be hard because Apple is using a locked down App Store. Only option would be if the new iPhone 8 gets jailbroken fast and unlocks options to use live wallpapers. But then someone needs to create the app as well!
Something I also really like with this app is how it works on the lock screen on Samsung Galaxy S8. This is an option I couldnt use on my S2 with Solar System HD App. It would be cool if it worked on the lock screen on older devices.
Let me know if there is any other cool app you want me to review. I want to review quality apps that provide value to people. And what I have noticed is that apps that cost around €1-5 euro usually the developers is more passionate about their work and works more with integrity. That’s what I have found from all these three live wallpapers. The app developer also have some real Android games that I might check out in the future.
I think people are getting real tired of freemium apps that is spammed with ads. It becomes annoying. People becoming ready to spend a few euros to get a quality experience. And it also makes so the developer gets better paid for their work. Which is amazing!
Today I want to review the game Final Fantasy 3 by Square Enix. This game was one of the first I bought for my Nintendo DS Lite in 2007. And now they have made it into an Android game you can download from the Google Play Store!
This game starts off with you being a character falling down into a cave in fantasy world. You instantly get attacked by various monsters and learn you need to fight to gain experience and to survive.
This game has great music already from the beginning. In the first cave you both find chests and secret rocks. You tap on items to activate them. In one chest at the beginning it contained a longsword. Sometimes chest’s contains other things like potion that you can use to heal your character. You use a virtual joystick to move around the character with ease.
The battles against monsters will attack automatic inside the cave when you are walking around. In battle you have 3 options. Attack, Magic and Guard. You can also run away from the battle!
In the right bottom corner you see your health bar. The goblin monsters you will attack at the beginning of the game are fairly easy to win over. When you win you gain Gil & EXP. And sometimes your job level increase!
Up in the top right corner of the screen you have your main menu. In here you can see different menus: Item, Magic, Equipment, Status, Formation, Job, Config, Quicksave, Save. The amount of Gil you have. And your full party. Which can include 3 others so 4 in total. Your starting job is Freelancer and on Level 1. HP and MP you can also see. Which is for health and magic powers.
In the items page you can see how powerful each item is in various categories like Defence and Attack. You can go in and equip your player with new items you find. You can carry a tool in right hand and left hand for attack. For Defence you can have protection items on head, body and arms.
The status page is good when you wanna see how much EXP it takes to level up to the next level. Also it only seems to show when you will level up your player and that the job level it levels up kind of random.
Outside of Attack and Defence you have deeper modes as Magic Defence. And Strength, Agility, Vitality, Intellect and Mind that you can level up!
I like the graphics in this game. How they move the camera when it’s in battle time from a top view to a closer behind the player view. It makes the game feel modern even when it’s older. I also like how there is no in-app purchase options. You can also save the game to the cloud.
You will sometimes meet bosses which will be harder to defeat. One of the first bosses you will meet is a giant turtle. If you lose the game and no save then there is complete game over and you have to restart again.
It will take some time to level up in this game. And a lot of same training. But that’s what makes you appreciate it more. That you have to work hard for progress. And the cloud saving works great on Android.
Your goal in the game is to spread light in the world. The Crystal came to you and told you was the chosen one. And the elders from the city says you are the chosen one too. The Crystal doesn’t want the world to fully become just darkness. You have to seek out other light people to help you on your journey.
The challenges in this game reminds me about life’s real world challenges. With constant training in this game. It’s kind of like real life. Everyday there are new struggles and challenges we have to overcome. Quite inspiring to be honest.
Outside of the cave when you win against the turtle you are back up on land. Where you can find ton’s of worlds and people to explore. And cities with stores where you can buy various items for protection and attack. For example I noticed you can’t use a bow and longsword at the same time. But two longswords are fine.
In the forrest out in the world you will encounter a ton of new monsters. Each time your job level goes up your attacks seems to become stronger. What makes the game fun is sometimes you have to figure out stuff yourself. By hearing clues from the people you talk to. You slowly get guided into the right direction. Sometimes you miss something and have to go back and try to solve it. It’s fun.
You quickly gain the option to expand the party with 2 more people and you need to find a mysterious ring to heal a lot of people that has turned sick. You will be using a flying ship and go on travels in harder caves where you need to train with your party to level them up. Meeting harder monsters.
This is a highly fun game with amazing music and storymode. But it will take a lot of time and energy to really go deep in this and make progress. And the game can be frustrating if you want to do fast progress. Because level up will take a lot of effort inside this game.
Gameplay performance is great on Samsung Galaxy S8, just some minor slow downs but nothing too serious. There are a bunch of other Square Enix Final Fantasy game’s available in the Google Play store as well as the iTunes App store for iPhones and iPads. Many with high quality ratings.
The menus in the game are super easy to understand what they do. Many new games are very confusing in the game system. Not this. And it’s pretty easy to know sort of where you should go in the game. But it at the same time keeps up a nice story mode and gives you many surprises that draws you into the game and want to keep playing.
In this game Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! you play as potatoes that is producing weapons and selling them. When you sell weapons you gain $tarch. You have something that is called a Shop.
First you have in the upper left corner your shop name, $tarch information (Total Salary Payable per Month), Shop fame, Tickets, Shop Capacity and your shop profile where you can see detailed statistics and progress for how you are doing in the game. As well as a $tarch report!
In the left bottom corner you see all your shop potato workers. On the bottom right corner you have the WhetsApp message app that will tell you latest information from your workers and different notice information.
Top right corner you can see the date and time. And some objective information.
In the top middle menu you can pause the game or speed it up.
In the bottom middle you have all the main menus everything from Settings, Inventory, Weapon Chest, Gnitae Region (Where you can shop for items, expand business, sell weapons, train, explore & go on vacation).
You also have some bottom middle buttons you can’t use at the beginning of the game. But they look like they will display various reports for how you are doing.
And at the center of bottom middle on iPhone display you have the big Forge red globe button! Click this button and it will allow you to forge various weapons: Dagger, Bow, Axe. When the potato smiths you have is done forging a new weapon you can name it.
A weapon also has 4 different categories and this also works in that you have different workshops in your shop in these categories and colors. Design: ATK, Craft: SPD, Polish: ACC, Enchant: MAG.
You go to Noob village to sell your first weapons. First selecting the weapon you wanna sell and then the smith that will do the selling. You sell the weapons to different heroes interested in buying.
It can be a little bit hard on the eyes to read the in-game text playing this on a smaller display. Probably best for desktop or tablet experience.
You will need to buy various items to be able to forge your weapons. For example to create a bow weapon you will need to go buy rope and use your $tarch. And you transport one of your smiths to do stuff for you. Like selling items or buying. When the smith come back you assign a place to them inside your shop.
Your potato smith’s will be having difference in how good they are at certain tasks. Like some are better for design, craft, polish or enchant. Try to assign them to the best workshop. For example Laura is best at design. So should be at the design workshop. At least that’s how I think it’s suppose to work!
It does take some time to get into the game to understand it. For example I noticed how the heroes you sell items to are different categories and levels. Some are archers, thiefs, rangers or fighters. So try to learn and look at the objective to get into the game. The game displays helpful objectives what to do and focus on if confused.
You can also see the mood of your smiths by popups showing their current feelings. It takes a bit of time to really get into this game and appreciate it. There will be a lot of gathering for new Items. A little bit like Minecraft Pocket Edition. But this game is more in a 3D still overview camera and instead of calling it crafting they call it forging weapons. With the power of your potato smiths.
Sometimes random “Choice of Fate” popup questions shows up. With a trick question and if you answer correct you get rewarded.
You will not just level up heroes but your smiths as well. Seems like you can only forge one weapon at a time. I like how this game makes you think deep kind of feels like a chess game. And it’s graphics feels very creative and original. The game will of course become more cool once you starts to unlock new more various weapons. The game is a bit slow in the beginning. But you do have a speed up option.
Sometimes you get invited to certain awards like the “Golden Hammer Awards”. The most magical weapon, fastest weapon and overall best weapon awards. The environment will change in graphics as the time and date pass by. Which is cool. And Sometimes even a Tsunami will come in! That will cause damage to your weapons you have been forging.
When payday comes up at the end of the month you need to make sure you got enough money to pay your potato smiths.
Eventually you can unlock the ability to explore more places. With using tickets you gain during gameplay. First place you can unlock with 1 ticket is Murky Miso Marshes. You can select a smith to go explore that place. And discover new items, enchantments and relics.
You have this crazy manager in the game who come’s to say he owns 99% of your work and want his profits in $tarch. You have to make sure you pay him and then you also need to manage your finances well. Or else you will not be able to pay your smiths. The guild will help you with some free money if you fail to manage finances but only 3 times. Then your shop will be closed down.
After some time you will unlock options to explore new places. Then you can unlock research blueprints. I unlocked pretty fast the option to forge Main Gauche in my shop. A new sword weapon.
There is a bit too much things going on at the same time in this game. I’m sure you can get into it after a few hours but the game has a long learning curve.
One of the more fun parts is when you are exploring a new place and get a ton of useful items fast like sapphire. That you can use to build new rare weapons. You always need at least 1 smith at the workshop available. You can also send your smiths sometimes on vacation if they seem unhappy!
Overall this is a pretty creative game that get’s more fun after a couple of hours of gaming.
Doesn’t feel to spammy with ads or anything. As long as the standard game fee is paid to install the app. Overall I highly recommend to check it out if you wanna pretend to be a potato and forge weapons!
If you ever wanted a cool Android wallpaper and like space this app is pretty cool! It’s called Solar System HD Deluxe.
It will make you be able to have planets in the background as a wallpaper or on your lock screen. You can select between a wide range of Settings. Planet, Star System, Starfield & Stardust.
You can also select if you want an Asteroid field. But this will require a more high end device like Samsung Galaxy S8 or OnePlus 5. Both having the Snapdragon 835 processor. Also if a planet has satellites you can select to enable them too. You also have an option to glow up the planet. And then you have an option for big stars in the background.
My first impressions using this one on my Samsung Galaxy S8 was amazing. Super good performance and smooth. You might have a different experience on a slower device. You need a gyroscope on your phone to be able to use this app if you want it to move around in hand.
In the planet scene you have these different options to choose between. None, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. There are also some bonus options available: Twin Stars, Nox, Orpheus and Magma. Of course earth is my favorite! Seeing our little planet from a space view with the globe spinning around is powerful! My favorite thing with this app is the HD super high quality textures that is being used. And when you pick up the phone it is using the gyroscope to move the scene around!
The Sun is a good scene selection when you wanna have something super bright as a wallpaper. It really does shine up magically and it looks like the sun texture is lovely made so it looks like the sun really is burning!
Venus looks a bit yellow and brown. More easier to the eye than the sun.
Mars looks very red and black. You can also see a planet a bit in the background with the Mars scene.
Saturn looks amazingly yellow and you can see it with it’s beautiful rings. It kinda reminds me about a discoball!
Uranus looks wonderfully blue. It also has it’s blue and light white rings. This one you have to tilt your phone to the side to see because the rings are in a horizontal position!
Neptune’s scene has even more amazing blue color reminds me about Mars but a blue one. Very amazing shades of blue in this one!
Pluto looks very grey.
The bonus Twin Stars features two glowing planets. One the sun and another further away shining white and blue! Nox bonus has a very strange set of colors. I leave it up to you to have a look at yourself!
Orpheus looks very futuristic like. Kind of sounds like an ancient greek planet name and it looks like a new Utopian earth planet!
Maybe Elon Musk should try to find a magical planet like this!
And then we come to the most amazing bonus of all! The Magma planet! Wow wow wow! This one reminds me about planet Mars but this one is way more darker and badass in the red color! Looks like a dark side planet! I love it so much with it’s shade of bright lava red and darker black colors.
So that was a quick review of the planet scene system you can select between.
Next you can select between Star System’s! These you can pick between: None, Crimson Nebula, Azure Galaxy, Golden Galaxy and Milky Way Galaxy.
Crimson Nebula has a futuristic look to it, different shades of blue and dark pink in the background.
Azure Galaxy is a bit similar but with more light stars in the background giving a bright shade of white.
Golden Galaxy is beautiful with lots of bright shining gold colors! It looks like paradise! A very beautiful texture here.
Milky way has tons of circles spinning with stars on them. Very beautiful colors of blue and bright white in the middle. And you also see super many stars all over the place!
I have been mentioning that the Star System was very blue at the top a lot… But you can tweak this! With the Starfield setting you can select between these colors. The blue is the default. The other ones are: Simple, Orange, Green and Dark! I do get a feeling that many of you will switch to dark!
You can also go in and tweak Stardust if you want it calm or boiling. To be honest at a quick glance I didn’t notice a major difference.
You also have some other options. You can select between various focus distances. I didn’t notice a big difference for me. But my favorite tweak here is you can select distance! The default is close to planet. You can change it too Very far or Far. So you can see the full planet in it’s glory! You can also select how much you want the camera to move while you move around the phone. And select movement radius. Again I really enjoy how it has so many options for tweaking the experience.
You also have the options to save battery by limiting the FPS. These are the options: 5, 15, 30, 60 FPS and MAX. Max is for the users who charge their phone 15x a day! You can also select low resolution textures to save even more battery if you feel it’s draining your battery life. But it probably doesn’t drain it as much as the Facebook mobile app!
You can also disable the gyroscope if you want the background to be more fixed but still work in a live wallpaper way.
Overall I am very glad to see the quality of this app. And I highly recommend it if you like space. And wanna see planets on your home screen’s or lock screen. I bet your friends will be impressed. If you have a high end phone that can handle the app.
Some future ideas for the app maybe would be more close up on planet earth! So you can see custom countries more close up! Or amazing views closeup that exists on planet earth. I look forward to all future developments. Here is a link to the app one more time!
Thanks for reading!
