Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro is a new phone 2018 that has finally become official. It looks like a mini Galaxy J5 2017. Let’s go over it.
Main specs: 5.0 inch Display, Super AMOLED type, 540×960 pixels screen, Android 7.1 Nougat OS, Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 Chipset, Quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz with Cortex-A53 Cores, Adreno 308 GPU, 8MP Primary camera, 5MP secondary camera and 2600mAh Battery!
This is a phone that comes in at a very low price. Even below Xiaomi Redmi 5 entry device. I enjoy that you get LTE on board. It’s a phone that is using an aluminium frame with plastic back. The plastic back was something J5 2017 didn’t come with. But I almost enjoy plastic the most because it’s a great length durable material.
You get Dual SIM with this phone you can insert micro SIM. It’s just a tiny bit smaller than the J5 2017. Wish they would have made this device 4.5 or 4.3 inch in size. Now it’s still pretty large.
The weight is 153 grams J5 only has 7 more grams in weight. Which is fascinating because I thought the J2 Pro would be lighter with that plastic back and smaller screen.
In memory on J2 Pro you get 16GB Internal storage, 1.5GB of RAM and microSD card expand up to 256GB. 256GB expand is starting to become more standard. A bad move by Samsung is how the J series is still not using Type-C as a USB connector.
The three colours it comes with is Black, Gold and Blue. Would be super cool with a Red edition. A very cool thing about this phone is how the battery is a removable variant. Something that Samsung doesn’t have more in their high-end and mid-range devices. Good job Samsung with J2 removable option. Maybe you can buy a spare battery.
