Today Sony unveiled some new smartphones. One of them is being called Sony Xperia XA2! Let’s inspect what it offers to you.
Main specs: 5.2 inches Display, IPS LCD Type, Android 8.0 Oreo, Snapdragon 630 Chipset, Adreno 510 GPU, microSD card extend up to 256GB, 32GB Internal storage, 3GB of RAM, 23MP Main camera, 8MP Secondary camera, 3.5mm Audio jack, 3300mAh Battery and 4G connectivity!
This is a mobile that comes with same battery size as Galaxy Note 8 if I remember correctly. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side just as Huawei does with their Mate 9 smartphone. You also get the latest Bluetooth 5.0 which has better support for wireless audio.
It’s using Type-C for charging. Doesn’t look like it has an IP rating. This has always been confusing with Sony phones sometimes they have it and sometimes they don’t. The colours it comes in are Silver, Black, Blue and Pink.
The deeper specs on the main camera is: F/2.0 aperture, 1/2.3″, phase detection, autofocus and LED flash. Specs on front facing camera are: F/2.0 aperture, 23mm, 1/4″, autofocus and 1080p video.
Pretty standard camera specs. I hope this phone comes in at an affordable price range. Other stuff you can do is record panorama, HDR modes available, Touch focus and smile detection.
The browser is using HTML5 technology. This is perfect since many new websites are starting to enable HTML5 video players. Which usually performs amazing and loads video faster. The weight of the phone is 171 grams. The thickness is a bit too thick it comes in at 9.7mm. I would prefer to see 8mm phone especially at this battery size.
It’s not a full all-screen display like Galaxy S8 but we are getting there slowly. We have rumors we will see a phone with all-screen display from Sony in 2018.
