Nokia 2 is a mobile from HMD Global which comes in at a very low price. It’s a new phone that got released in October 2017. This is just a low-key Android entry device. Not really meant for any intense gaming. But a step up from the Nokia 3310 2017 Edition. Let’s climb up and check out the specs!
Main specs: 5.0″ Display, 8MP camera with 720p video recording support, 1GB of RAM, Snapdragon 212 Chipset, 4100mAh battery, Android 7.1.1 Nougat, Quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Cortex-A7 cores and Adreno 304 GPU!
First thing I notice is that the big focus here is to create a phone with quality material and super long battery life. Even though this phone only packs 8GB Internal storage you get support for a massive 128GB TF card!
The battery lifetime is super impressive look at this: 1340 hours in standby, 19 hours of talk time and 139 hours of music play. This in terms of music is like an iPod Classic in battery life time!
A little boring how it only comes with microUSB 2.0 charging. But very cool is how they didn’t go 100% plastic but a aluminium frame with plastic back. It’s a pretty thick phone because of it’s massive battery so you get 9.3mm thickness and 161 grams in weight.
I really enjoy HMD Global’s dedication. They will update this low-end phone to Android 8.0 Oreo in the future! It’s great how you can use two SIM cards. Perfect if you travel abroad.
I wish it had a little better screen-to-body ratio on the front side. This one only has 67% in that category. The secondary camera is a 5MP variant. Great for taking selfies with. But don’t expect too much in camera section. Low-end phones don’t tend to be that impressive in that department.
