Lenovo ZUK Edge is a phone that almost at a quick look seems like it has an all-screen display. Like Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, iPhone X and DOOGEE Mix Lite. But when you look closer you can see that it’s just a display that goes up pretty high but not all the way. The rectangular long shape of the home button reminds me about the Galaxy S2 days.
Main specs on ZUK Edge: 5.5 Inch display, U-Touch, 6GB of RAM, 64GB Internal storage, Snapdragon 821, Quad-core processor, 4G fast connectivity, Black/White colour, Goes fully to the side to create bezel-less display effect, Clock speed 2.35GHz, Dual-chip fast charge, Dual SIM Dual Standby, 3100mAh Battery and 13MP camera.
The first thing that strikes me with this device is how it’s pretty similar to ZUK Z2 Pro. But with some upgraded specs. Snapdragon 821 instead of 820 and higher CPU clock speed. You get 5.5” display instead of 5.2” and you get more “all-screen” experience. On the other hand Z2 pro came with 128GB memory built-in.
The screen on ZUK edge is HD retina with lighter screen technology, higher reflectivity and brighter. The build of this phone is premium with double-sided 2.5D glass design + one-piece metal frame. This phone joins iPhone X and Note 8 when it comes to glass on phones! The GPU is still Adreno 530 as in Z2 Pro but it’s a little higher clocked on this variant.
You can sum it up that it’s not a major difference between these two phones. It’s all about if you want a little larger “all-screen” display with updated processor. Or if you want more memory and go with the other phone. The price difference is a Note 5A cost for a little more premium ZUK phone. Do you like the ZUK Edge?
