Anica A9+ Fashion Mini Card Phone First Look!

Today I want to take a quick look at another mini phone. It’s called the Anica A9+! This one comes with a 680mAh battery, Dual SIM option, Bluetooth, And It kind of has the shape of an miniature iPhone!

It has a nice metal and glass build. You can take calls from another phone via Bluetooth. The weight is only 68g. It has an accelerometer so you can shake to switch between songs. It also has a built in Pedometer so you can track steps while you are walking.

It also has a function to remind you to not just sit down all day but to move around. It also has an anti lost function within 10 meters. Anti-theft alarm ring if you forgot to take your phone with you. The MP3 player can play music with bluetooth has I have understood it.

The mini card phone can also work as a universal remote for many gadgets. 72-90 hours of standby time. SD card and SIM card option. The resolution on the OLDE display is 240×320 pixels. And they keys light up nicely with a white backlight.

It really feels like this mini card phone is like if you would shrink an iPhone 5S! It has a nice weight to it which makes it feel premium. The keys gives you a nice vibration when you press them.

In menu of the phone you have: Call logs, Contacts, Message, Multimedia, Settings, Bluetooth, Tools & Remote Control. The tools are Pedometer, Reminder, Mobile Tracker, YaoYaoMP3, Calendar, Calculator, Alarm, My Files and Bluetooth.

For the price of this little gadget I find that it does more than enough! I am very impressed with the overall build quality they did. And that you can write text in the calendar on certain dates. You cannot play any games or take any photos or browse the internet with this device. But it would be nice to see that added in a larger more premium version. Check out this device availability over here.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Is Official! Specs and Photos!

Today Samsung unveiled the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note phone. It’s called Samsung Galaxy Note 8. First it has a 6.3″ QHD+ Infinity Display, Dual rear-facing 12MP camera, 3300mAh, Snapdragon 835, 6GB RAM, IP68, Fingerprint reader and Iris Scanner. Latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

From a first look I sorta feel that the battery sounds pretty small for a big phone. Especially these days when you see many phones that come out with a 5000mAh battery like the DOOGEE BL5000. The interesting part about the Note 8 is it’s dual camera. This was something that the Galaxy S8 didn’t have.

Samsung has always been using good camera sensors I think. And it’s nice this year how they don’t just upgrade the screen size and S-Pen in it’s Note series but also take the time to implement one of these dual cameras. It also has dual OIS.

In Europe it’s been hard to get a Note phone last couple of years. Note 5 wasn’t officially released in Europe, Note 6 never came, Note 7 was just about to launch and then the battery issues showed up. And Samsung returned all Note 7s… My Note 5 got cracked fast in an accidental indoor drop and it never worked again.

The last couple of years Samsung phones has been suffering from more problems than usual. TouchWiz hasn’t behaving as it should, many times lag issues. Also overheating issues since the Galaxy S6 year. The year when Samsung started to use glass on the back of it’s phones instead of removable plastic back. It seems like Samsung don’t want you to have the option to change battery or back cover.

Interesting part about Note 8 will be that the default model will be 6GB of ram. Some S8 variants have 6GB but it’s not the default. This is great because it may mean awesome multitasking performance in Note 8.

This new Note is 9mm taller than Galaxy Note 7. And 0.7mm wider than the Note 7. But do remember this one packs a 6.3″ display. The original Note was hard to hold with it’s wide shape and just 5.3 display. Samsung has realised if they just make the phone less wide but taller and more edge-to-edge screen they can put in a massive display without making the user experience feel weird.

The Note 8 display has a slight curve just as the Galaxy S8 phone has. Samsung introduced this first with the Galaxy S6 Edge. Then they made the edge variant the standard. But with a bit more low-key edge. Not S6 Edge or Note Edge. But just a tiny bit. Kind of like the BlackBerry Priv phone also have.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a little bit more business look compared to Galaxy S8+. Because it has less rounded edges so it looks more professional. Also it’s one of the heaviest phones yet from Samsung 195g! BL5000 phone actually goes even above 200g… The weird part is how even the S8+ has a bigger battery than Note 8.

One problem with this new Note is how it still has the fingerprint sensor right next to the camera. This was a major issue with the Galaxy S8 how it makes it hard to unlock the phone because it’s harder to find the sensor. They should have made same design as Huawei Mate 9 has by position the fingerprint sensor below the camera and make it go in a bit for best way to find sensor.

One cool thing about the Note 8 is how it comes in a darker more blue colour called Deepsea Blue. This truly looks like blue! Not same blue as the Coral blue you can get on S7 and S8.

It will also has support for Samsung DeX, Bixby, Gear VR and Gear 360. Which are some of Samsung’s expensive addons.

SATREND A10 Mini Phone – First Look!

So today I want to check out the SATREND A10 which is a Mini Card Phone! It comes with a 1.77 inch Display and 480mAh battery. It’s a very tiny phone that still feels very quality and has a unique look.

It’s a Metal bluetooth mini card cell phone. It’s as big as a credit card and feels great in the hand. It both support Standard SIM card + Micro SIM card. Or Standard SIM card + SD card. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack. It can also make calls via bluetooth by binding it to your smartphone. Both dial up and answer calls.

You can also remotely take a photography over bluetooth. Then you first need to install an app on your other phone. I will try this feature to see how it works. It also has an MP3 player but no default songs. Need an SD card in the phone to be able to use this. You also get a business leather while buying this phone. But it doesn’t seem to stick to the phone that well. Works mostly as protection.

It’s around 8mm thick, 90mm tall and 50mm wide. It doesn’t have any games installed. But it does have a physical keyboard. Dial and Hang up coloured buttons. You have a charging port at the bottom of the phone. On the back you have the text digital sound. And the logo feels nice.

The phone has an expensive premium feel. It’s hard to tell the price of it just by looking at it. It will for sure make people curious what it is you are having. This phone comes in 4 colors, pink, black, grey, and almost gold like colour. It also comes with a charging cable, a pin for taking out the SD card/SIM card tray.

Be sure to let me know what kind of tests you want me to do on this device. It’s CPU is MTK6261D, Memory is 32MB+32MB, Screen Resolution is 480×320 pixels.

In these times it’s very popular that the phones just keeps getting bigger. There was a time when 4.3″ was considered big. But now not even 5″ is big. So it’s nice to see some companies are going back to produce compact sized phones! If you want to check out this device then it’s available here for purchase.

Samsung Galaxy S8 AMOLED Screen Burn Close Up Photos!

So my new Samsung Galaxy S8 has already started to get problems with AMOLED screen burn. Here is some quick pictures on it. It’s extremely annoying and sad. I only been using the Galaxy S8 for a few months and already the display is starting to turn faulty. I kinda was expecting more from Samsung. But they have had lots of issues the last couple of years with things like this. So sad. Click on the photos for full screen mode on some that I took with my Sony camera.

And here is also I quick video I did on Galaxy S7 to show it!

MONZO Samsung Galaxy S8 App Review! Building Tanks and Space Station Models!

Today I want to check out an extremely cool game in the Google Play Store it’s called MONZO. It basically allows you to build various digital model kits! You can also paint them, put stickers on them, take a photo and share your models you have built. This is an app that is created in Unity.

The game starts off with a tutorial first you tap on a sports car model kit box to open it. Then when you open it you see all the parts and you tap inside to start assembly. After that you open the manual by dragging it out in the center and follow the step-by-step instructions. On the left side of the screen you have your inventory of pieces and you start to drag the first piece from the inventory and drop it into the scene. Everything is working with smooth graphics. You can observe the model you put out on scene by swiping on it. You can pinch to zoom in or out. Two finger swipe will pan the model to left or right. Double tap will reset the camera.

On the left side where your inventory of model pieces are you can swipe up or down to see more. Now you just watch the manual on right side of the screen and select parts and start to build up the model. It’s very interesting to see how the parts come together to create a complete model! You can also see with ease when a piece is matching and should be at a certain place.

After you have completed the model you can paint it or use stickers. Then you can take a photo of your model. Which will be saved in your photo library in the game.

Inside of the main menu of the game you have the Store, My Collection, Tips & Tricks, My photos and Build! You also have the settings button where you can change language, Music, Sound, Invert X/Y Axis or Tweak Sensitivity X/Y. The app has around 40 different models you can build. A bunch of free ones but also many that cost up to 5 euros. But some of them have 70 to 300 pieces so some might be worth it. I like the app and it’s fun to build stuff but I wished they had more models than just 40. Up to 300 at least would be a bit more fun.

And I also wished they had some time limit for extra challenge. Where you should be able to do it as quickly as possible and get between 1 to 5 stars. It feels like it’s a little to easy sometimes to build up a new model. But the graphics and sound is really great. And I like how they have cool models you can build up like a weapon or a tank. Even a helicopter and a dinosaur! It gives you a deeper insight in how an animal or a machine is built up. Or it would be cool if users could generate their own advanced models that others could built up. You also gain experience in the game while you finish a model.

If you have google cardboard then you can also view your built models in them which is an extremely cool feature! You can also tap on highlighted parts to play an animation of them. After you have finished a model you can also quickly disassemble it if you want. The price for some models might seem expensive. But once you start get into it and building it you see the quality put into this app. And you get real enjoyment out of doing something creative. Almost as in real life!

I rather have premium app like this instead of an app with annoying in-ads that just makes you annoyed. Do you know any other cool quality app that you want me to check out? I am currently exploring real quality apps. That is fun to pick up fast and enjoy. Have an awesome day and thanks for reading. Here is the app again in the play store.

Best Regards,
Adrian
