MAZE Alpha Cool Edge-to-edge 6GB RAM Phone!

Today I want to check out another cool phone with an Edge-to-edge design. It’s called MAZE Alpha.

It’s running on the Helio P25 CPU with an Octa core setup 4x 1.4GHz and 4x 2.5GHz. The RAM is 6GB and internal storage is 64GB. But you also have expandable storage option with microSD card up to 256GB!

The screen is 6.0 inch IPS with 1080p resolution and use corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen protection. 2.5D curved glass. 83 percent Screen-to-Body ratio.

Battery capacity is 4000mAh which is very nice! Compared to new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that will only feature a 3200mAh battery. Down from 3500 on Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. You cannot remove the battery.

The phone also got a fingerprint scanner and latest Android 7.0 Nougat. The camera is 13MP + 5.0MP Dual Rear camera. The front facing camera is 5MP. It also uses Type-C for charging. It also also unlocked for worldwide use. MAZE Alpha overall looks like a very interesting phone.

This phone reminds me about the Elephone S8 which I talked about in a previous blog post. The big difference here is how this one comes with dual-camera on the rear. And the Elephone S8 has a bit higher Screen-to-Body ratio.

The S8 looks more classy but it also looks like it may break on the back because of it’s glass material. This one feels more like a safer option to go with.

You have many great Android devices that is coming out these days for 20% of the cost of a brand phone. It’s really amazing to see consumers having so many great options these days to not have to waste 800 euro on a new phone. But that they can get a decent phone for 200 euro.

We are also starting to see decent options coming out for as low as 50 euro. So will be interesting to see what the brand phones will do in the future when the competition is going to increase.

It does look like the major companies Apple and Samsung doesn’t really care but is increasing the prices of their phones. Both the OLED iPhone 8 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expecting to cost around 1000 dollars. Which is a lot of money!

I am curious what they will make in the future to stand out more in features. Because it seems like most features people may want has already been done on previous phones. The phone phone market will be very interesting to follow.
