The Dangers Of The Internet Digital Age!

There are many dangers as we step inside this new digital age. Even though we have access to more information than ever before what could start to happen is a internet filtering system that only feeds us same stuff all the same time instead of expanding our minds. This is something that already goes on with Facebook and YouTube. You don’t see all the latest updates that you want to see. The algorithm on these services decides what it thinks is best for you. The robot controls what you see. This is in a way very scary.

Because what happens is you can get a distorted view of reality. Always remember when you are on the internet that the people that for example comments on a post they are not the average person watching that content usually. The major majority is silent and do just consume. But we don’t many times think about these people. We mostly just think about the commenters as the ones who care about our work. But many times you have many that care but you will never know who they are because they usually never see a need to post a comment.

The whole idea in the beginning with the internet was that it would expand our minds. But what mostly seem to happen is that people stick to their groups and do not want to go beyond it. So you are having humans creating villages online. So internet can actually make many people more close-minded. This global access to all humans on earth is very new and strange. Humans don’t really know how they should use it.

We are living in big times of change. Which will confuse a lot of people when we go forward in the digital age. Most 40 year olds their life is in real world. Most 20 year olds their whole life is online. So you have two different worlds that is being created. Deep changes like this will register a lot of fear in people who do not like change. But remember that change is the only constant in the universe. Life is always shifting and moving around.

Many people shut down their potential these days out of fear. The internet is like this magical thing that could show you anything you want. You could either find amazing stuff on it or horrible. It’s up to you to learn to master this internet thing. There is more potential out there than ever before. People you can connect with that will create limitless opportunities. But it’s up to you to take action and start moving in that direction.

There is a lot of dangers with this time as well. Because a lot of distractions that exists on the internet. Everyone is fighting for your attention. One click online usually result in minutes or hours of your life just being swallowed up. The key for you is to learn to master Focus and Discipline. That’s how you can win in this Age of Distraction era that we live in. Every single extra second you can put on Focus will help you so much.

Also remember whenever you start to do something new the start is always the hard part. Once you are in flow it’s easy. It doesn’t require that much extra energy while you are already doing something. It’s usually called MOMENTUM. This is something you can take advantage of in work. Once you are in the flow of work get 5 things done fast instead of taking a break between each thing that you finish. Because every time you take a break you create a big block that can result in minutes or hours being wasted on nonsense.

Something that I have done on my phone is to disable all the notifications. It’s just a distraction. Another thing I have is to rarely use social media. Most of it is as well a distraction. We also live in the age of sharing other peoples content. So few people create their own original content these days! It’s a disaster. Especially when you consider you have the best tool in the whole world for creating unique original content. I am talking of course about your brain.

The limitless ideas you can create with your brain is just madness. It’s like it’s expanding like the universe the more knowledge and action you feed it. For every stone that you flip over you find three more stones below it! You just have to keep feeding your brain with new stimulation and take action. As long as you keep doing that you can keep creating anything.

We usually get into this block in our life when we take little action and get poor result because of it. So it creates a negative downward spiral. Most of these problems can be solved with the 10X rule. Take 10X as much action as everyone else. And you will surely see better results! And the better results you get the more you see it works and it creates an upward spiral o awesomeness in your life!

You see the thing that you are scared of is just getting into a habit of doing something regularly. Once you are in it you are really fine. Life is good. I have seen it takes 66 days to form a new habit. You have to re-wire your brain. And it doesn’t happen fast. Also don’t try to create multiple strong habits at the same time. Because that will usually make it so you won’t stick to anything eventually. Be modest and humble. And realise that the journey is what is the fun part. The destination is just there to give you a direction. But it’s the process that you will start to love. The process is your life.

The internet these days can become an even larger distraction than in the past because these days everyone is addicted to their phone. And phones are always closer to you than computers because most usually carries their phone in their hand or pocket. So it’s a potential constant distraction that you carry with you all the time. So turn off the notifications is a great idea.

Other things I highly recommend is to not consume without production. So this is a good rule. It’s perfectly fine to consume! But only consume after you have created something of value. Or else you will become a value leech. And nobody likes a person like that. Remember that generating value is not that hard. After some time your need to consume will go down. You will realise that it mostly just was a distraction away from your most important task in your life.

We humans have a great fear about realising how super limitless we actually are. We are afraid of what or social group or family might think. But I believe that if you feel a fire deep inside of you to do something then you are suppose to follow that path with heart! Because following your heart if you ask me must be the only true way forward.

But just consider this for a second. If you do become limitless and maybe your friends or family might think you are weird just imagine the amount of good you can do in the world. The amount of peoples life’s that you can touch. You can touch millions or even billions of peoples life’s by being 100% your fullest potential. You can actually make a massive difference in the world. I believe we need more people like this in the world. More amazing and unique people. Less vanity and more creativity. Less sheeps and more originals.

Also remember with the internet you can try stuff out with little risk of losing something. Many times you don’t even have to show your face. But can operate in a safer way. And fully express yourself. Back in the days you had to invest more energy and effort in the physical world to get stuff done. Now with the internet things have gotten way easier and there is potential for you to exploit it. To become a master in your field. If you can see pass all the vanity and see what truly matters. Knowledge and Truth.

When you observe the world and paying more attention to what is going on around you then you will see the most amazing things. Then you will truly see how amazing this new technology we have is. But you have to wake up first. And realise it. You can’t walk around sleepwalking the rest of your life. Will it be scary to wake up? Yes. But think about the rewards. Most people are stuck in distraction and sensory pleasure. This is causing them to walk around mostly in a zombie state derping. Instead of living their true potential and dreams. It’s a weird realisation when you discover you can have anything you want in the world. If you are willing to work for it.

Bitcoin Value Going Up To $4650!

We live in very interesting times when it comes to opportunities in life. Especially in this digital age. Where computers are becoming more what people use to generate value. It can be in form of video/text/music/digital art but many new creators can now find an audience that would have a hard time in the past to reach out to people.

With the open internet you now have access to 7 billion other humans. Just imagine the potential in that. A website is a form of mini empire where you can create whatever you are interested in and can find an audience that are interesting in the same kind of topics. This bitcoin thing I have found to be highly interesting to follow. It’s a digital currency that has gained a lot in value since 2010.

I first noticed it in 2011 but didn’t have the humility to actually invest in it back then. Then 2013 it did rise up to 10 dollars per coin. Me and my friend was talking about investing in bitcoin back then but we didn’t.

If we would have invested 1000 dollars in Bitcoin early 2013 then it would have been worth 460,000 dollars by now! Wow that is crazy! This is the wild times that we live in. Which of course is highly exciting for the youths.

There are so many opportunities out there these days with the internet that if you pay attention then you can jump in and take advantage. Read and educate yourself because it’s so cheap and easy to get access to quality information these days.

Via Amazon Kindle app on Android or iOS you have access to thousands of high quality books. With a ton of value. I have bought over 200 books since 2014. It’s my main way of reading books these days.

A good advice is don’t follow sheep mentality but try to think for yourself. The thing now with Bitcoin is when everyone invests in something then it’s usually a bad idea to do it. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

And most importantly invest for the long term. Life is a marathon not a sprint. This is not just in the money area but all area’s of your life where you invest time and energy into.

Something that comes fast usually also leaves you fast. Progress in nature usually happens slow. Because it’s like you are a tree. To grow tall and big you need to grow deep roots. And that takes slow time. This doesn’t mean the journey will be boring. You just gotta learn to truly love the process.

Bitcoin is just one part of this new digital world. The world of programming I also find highly interesting. Because not many people know it so well. So there is great value to gain there if you are willing to learn complex things.

Remember in life that you get paid in proportion to the problem that you solve. So if you solve an easy problem then you probably won’t be paid much. But if you solve a problem that requires more deep thinking then you will be rewarded higher.

The whole world of programming is so cool because you can create anything you want. There are truly no limits there. At least not as far as we know. There are always new problems to be solved. If you want to create your own game for Android or iOS then you have Unity you can work in. That will do most of the behind the scenes work to make your games work on any platform you want.

I am also super curious to see where Virtual Reality will go in the future. One problem with it now is it feels clumsy to use. The HTC Vive headset feels too heavy and it has a large cable behind your back when you are playing. In the future of course it will be more slimmer but it’s going to be interesting to see if humans will turn into robots. Today I saw a man out on street with a robot leg. That was strange. We are truly turning into digital machines!

We are becoming more humans on planet earth than ever before and robotics are taking over. The question is what will humans do as in work? Because if robots takes over most of jobs that today’s are simple what will humans do? Especially when singularity is getting closer. When computers will be able to improve themselves without our help! Now that is scary and exciting at the same time. How will the future world look like. That’s the question.

Last Day on Earth: Survival Samsung Galaxy S8 Game Review!

This is a new game where you are suppose to kill walking dead zombies. In an MMORPG game! It’s currently in Beta v.1.5.6 when I am testing this out. It’s called Last Day on Earth!

At the start you can select between 6 different servers. You start off as a male in the center of a playing field.

On top left you can see your health, top right you can see your map and settings. Bottom left you have your navigate around button in the 4 directions. You also under the map have a button you can tap on to see Buildings and Furniture you can build out on map. Sort of like The Sims games.

Bottom right you have a punch button and a take up things button. You also got a crouch down button. You also have a button to see the full status on your current player. Both your inventory in pockets and in your backpack. Also the amount of Z coins you have. You start off with 25.

You also have a button for blueprints. Here you can build various items. Reminds me about Minecraft’s Craft feature. First things you can create in here is a Hatchet, Pickaxe or a Spear. For every blueprint you can build you need materials. To build the hatchet you need 3 pine logs and 3 limestone.

You also have a in-app purchase button where you can buy more coins, transport items, equipment, supply and boosts. You can also chat with other players in the bottom center of the screen but first you need to build a Radio Tower. You also have an auto button where it seems the player will automatic start walking and doing stuff on his own.

When you get close to various items you can pick them up in your hand. You also have a limited area you can walk in and a day and night feature. You can see roaming zombies on your map they are in red colour and have 40 in health. You can also see your level at the bottom of the screen.

The game is pretty creative you can for example find an old pick up truck and find 4 items in it. Items like scrap metal, rope, thick jacket and cleaver. Your player also needs to eat so sometimes he will become thirsty. Then you can use berry that is available for pickup. When you pick up various items you can start to put them on your player.

The game is pretty cool when you die you can see your old dead player and pick up his items. The game doesn’t feel too spammy or annoying. But it feels engaging and fun once you get into it. There are a lot of materials and items you need to find to build various items.

Once you build various things like a garden bed you can go into settings of it and either add workers or have a look at various recipes you can create. You place the material and get a result. I do not like how long time it takes to craft simple things. Like it says 1 hour to craft carrots. That is sillyness. Tools can also break down if you use them a lot. And I feel the game is a bit too hard in the beginning. Even finding water is a hard thing. Food a little easier but it doesn’t solve the water issue. Your player dies if it runs out of food/water.

You can also evolve certain foods with recipes. Steak to Juicy Steak, Berries to Berry Tea, Carrot Stew and so on. You can actually leave your location I noticed. To go into a bigger world if you walk out into the green area. You can also be killed by other players in the game.

This game has a long learning curve and it’s hard already from the beginning. It also takes energy to run to various places so it might be a bad game if you don’t like in-app purchase. Because it feels like that will stop you a lot. What do you think about this game? Here is a link one more time to Last Day on Earth!

MAZE Alpha Cool Edge-to-edge 6GB RAM Phone!

Today I want to check out another cool phone with an Edge-to-edge design. It’s called MAZE Alpha.

It’s running on the Helio P25 CPU with an Octa core setup 4x 1.4GHz and 4x 2.5GHz. The RAM is 6GB and internal storage is 64GB. But you also have expandable storage option with microSD card up to 256GB!

The screen is 6.0 inch IPS with 1080p resolution and use corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen protection. 2.5D curved glass. 83 percent Screen-to-Body ratio.

Battery capacity is 4000mAh which is very nice! Compared to new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that will only feature a 3200mAh battery. Down from 3500 on Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. You cannot remove the battery.

The phone also got a fingerprint scanner and latest Android 7.0 Nougat. The camera is 13MP + 5.0MP Dual Rear camera. The front facing camera is 5MP. It also uses Type-C for charging. It also also unlocked for worldwide use. MAZE Alpha overall looks like a very interesting phone.

This phone reminds me about the Elephone S8 which I talked about in a previous blog post. The big difference here is how this one comes with dual-camera on the rear. And the Elephone S8 has a bit higher Screen-to-Body ratio.

The S8 looks more classy but it also looks like it may break on the back because of it’s glass material. This one feels more like a safer option to go with.

You have many great Android devices that is coming out these days for 20% of the cost of a brand phone. It’s really amazing to see consumers having so many great options these days to not have to waste 800 euro on a new phone. But that they can get a decent phone for 200 euro.

We are also starting to see decent options coming out for as low as 50 euro. So will be interesting to see what the brand phones will do in the future when the competition is going to increase.

It does look like the major companies Apple and Samsung doesn’t really care but is increasing the prices of their phones. Both the OLED iPhone 8 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expecting to cost around 1000 dollars. Which is a lot of money!

I am curious what they will make in the future to stand out more in features. Because it seems like most features people may want has already been done on previous phones. The phone phone market will be very interesting to follow.

My Phones Part 2: Sony Xperia Z2

In last episode of my phones we took a look at my BlackBerry Priv. In this episode we will take a look at a Sony phone. Sony Xperia Z2.

This phone comes packed with a 5.2″ IPS LCD display! 1080p resolution with 424ppi pixel density. There is no information if it features Gorilla Glass but it does feature X-Reality Engine and Triluminos Display. The phone feels nice in the hand and has a nicer grip than Sony Xperia Z1.

It does have a glass back but it doesn’t slide around that much on a surface. Because the frame of the phone hits the back before the glass. So it lies steady. Which I highly enjoy. I also enjoy that the camera doesn’t stand out on this unit. Like it does on new iPhone 7 Plus.

This phone is IP58 certified so that means it got some decent protection against water and dust. I have done many various liquid test’s with this phone and it has survived them all! This phone comes with Snapdragon 801 Qualcomm Chipset. And a Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 processor. The GPU is Adreno 330.

It also has a microSD card option support up to 256GB! 16GB internal storage with 3GB of RAM. The main camera is 20.7MP with f/2.0. Secondary front facing camera has 2.2MP and can record 1080p video at 30fps.

The battery capacity is 3200mAh same as the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has. Current latest Android version 2017 for this device is Android 5.0.2. Which still looks very good! And the device runs fine 2017. The Android UI looks very close to stock in this version. But the speed of the phone is impressive.

I wanna say big thanks for Sony for creating such a good Xperia phone. The display has a vibrant feel to it that the Xperia Z1 didn’t have. It’s also faster than the original Sony Xperia because of a better processor. It also has custom theme options!

In the personalization area you can tweak: Motion(Control phone using motions), Themes, Wallpaper, Clocks, Status Bar Icons you want to display. In display area you can select: Glove Mode, Image Enhancement using X-Reality for mobile. Or you can turn it off or use Super-vivid Mode. You can tweak the White Balance and have Adaptive Brightness. There is also options for Smart backlight control, Daydream and Tap to Wake up!

Xperia Connectivity allows you to use: Screen Mirroring, Cast Screen, Media Server Settings, Windows Tethering, DUALSHOCK series set up PlayStation Controller, MirrorLink, USB Connectivity. It feels like on connection side Sony really tried to get it all in there!

The power management screen also offers you a lot. First it shows estimated battery time. But then you have amazing power saving tools. STAMINA mode, Ultra STAMINA mode, Low battery mode, Queue background data at set intervals. You can also see App power consumption and battery usage more in general.

This phone has on screen keys in display. Back, Home and Multitasking button. The phone does have a bit large borders up and down which is a bit disappointing. They easily could have packed a larger display in there if they wanted. Sadly they didn’t!

The phone also got flaps for charging, microSD card and SIM card. Which can become annoying after a while to open and close. It also has a dock option available on left side. Which can make the phone feel ugly if you hate docks. Or will never use it. It also has headphone jack at top of the phone. Which is bad many times if you listen to music in your pocket.

But overall Sony Xperia Z2 is still a very cool device. Even a few years later! Hopefully you enjoyed this quick going back in time session with me Adrian. I have another 100+ phones that I’m thinking about writing about also! So stay tuned for that.
